“Wedding Anniversary City Trip, Fantastic Location”

If you intend on traveling around the city, use the Red City Tour Bus. £11 valid for 4 days a great way to get anywhere. There is a stop outside the hotel. Great for the shopping bags. Hotel is great staff very helpfull, food superb, room clean, great view. Only slight negative is mini bar is stupid prices so take your own refreshments for use in the room.
Opposite the hotel there is a chinese restaurant - a little more than average prices, however food/service was excellent.

We booked this through Travelzoo as they had an excellent deal on. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much as I am not keen on 'chain' hotels but I was completely wrong! Staff were friendly from the moment we got there and we were given a token for some champers and tapas (as part of the deal). The room was quite small and nothing fancy hat had loads of nice touches like robes, minibar and the iMac that I wouldnt usually expect from a chain.

We went down to the bar expecting a tiny plate of tapas as part of our deal but were brought our champagne and a lovely sharing platter which was delicious and massive, totally unexpected! The setting was lovely too and we had a few drinks in the bar watching the sun go down over the clyde.

Breakfast the next morning was really good, the only problem was when I asked for veggie black pudding and the girl obviously thought I wanted a full veggie breakfast. But as it turned out, the vegetarian sausage was much nicer than the non-veggie version - result! We also got late check out so were able to enjoy the room til 4pm at no extra charge.

All in all, a very enjoyable stay!

We accompanied my husband on a business trip. Our stay was very enjoyable. Nice clean room, quiet with a lovely aspect over the river, very nice bathroom and lovely shower. Excellent breakfast. Easy walk into town in the morning. Will choose to stay here again.

Stayed here for a seaplane flight. Chose this one as I see it every morning on BBC Scotland news and it's location was central and easy to find (it's next to the SECC). I hate driving in Glasgow so for me it has to busy easy to get too.

Have to say that it was a really nice hotel. Rooms weren't massive but really nicely decorated (really liked the iMac). We went to the Yen Chinese restaurant just across the road but the hotel restaurant looked fairly decent too.

We got a deal when booking that gave us a bottle of wine and breakfast. Breakfast was really good. Great selection and cooked brekkie was really good.

Slightly out of the town centre but a taxi was only £5 for four of us.

We will be definitely staying here again if we come back to Glasgow.

I used the Mint for a night in Glasgow going to a music festival. The room was modern, stylish and extremely well equipped, including iMac with internet and streamable music. The room was not very large, but good value. Returning late was not a problem - there were other night owls too - but I had no problems with noise.

We have lunch in the hotel quite often and have never been disappointed. We have stayed overnight twice recently and both times the evening meal has been below par.

We'd booked the hotel as we were attending a concert. and like being able to walk to the hotel to avoid the melee leaving the car park. Unfortunately the concert was cancelled, but within 10 minutes of the cancellation Mint were on the phone to check that I knew and to ask if I wanted to amend the booking and restaurant reservation - excellent service even though it risked losing business. We stayed in the hotel and went for a night out in Glasgow anyway.
On arrival the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bar was really smart, the staff helpful and a great range of drinks and bar meals. The restaurant is a real surprise, nothing 'chain hotel' about this, a really good dining experience that I will use again.
The rooms are very well appointed, although the iMac entertainment system may be a bit overkill for technophobes.
I was also stunned to watch the Clyde seaplane coming in to land when I was leaving - spectacular.
Great Hotel and I will stay again, when the concert is rescheduled.

Room Tip: They are all fine, but ask for a river view
