Just spent two nights here as attending a conference and am very pleased with the experience. Staff very helpful and pleasant, rooms small but perfectly formed! I had a room overlooking the river which was great, bed comfortable, loved the apple mac, all together a very good experience. Also excellent location if attending the conference centre.

I am the friend of Scottiewanderer who held her wedding reception with you on 30 May 2012.

I can confirm that your staff, prior to and during our wedding reception, did everyting in their power to make our day perfect and I would like to give particular thanks to Michelle (your Functions Manager, Chris (your Restaurant Manager) and Ian (your Chef). Your lovely staff excellent food and wonderful ambience certainly made our day one that we will remember. Well done ... Hilton Garden Inn, Glasgow.

This hotel is right on the river bank, a short walk from the Scottish Convention Centre. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are a reasonable size, bright and fresh and, best of all, equipped with an Apple i-mac providing TV and free high-speed internet access. This is a refreshing change from the excessive charges for internet use levied in most UK hotels!

The food is very good - not cheap but good value for money. There is a car park beside the hotel and a large covered terrace for those rare occasions when the weather allows al fresco dining.

Room Tip: Even-numbered rooms have a river view.

We stayed on the 5th May 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn. The staff were fantastic, and they even allowed us to take our breakfast out on the riverside area.

However, upon arriving back in Edinburgh, we found that my iPad had gone missing. Confused as we hadn't left the room with it at all, we phoned them up and asked them whether it was there.

The lady we spoke to never once acknowledged this as an urgent matter and said the Manager would call back the next day. After three or four more phone calls, and then actually lying to the person on the phone that we could track it, the iPad mysteriously turned up.

Apparently one of the cleaners had stolen it, and managed to take it home as well doing a factory reset on it and wiping all my data. The hotel, as it stands, accepts no responsibility in this matter blaming it on the third party company they use to clean the room.

I on the other hand, am now taking this further through the proper channels to get compensated for this theft.

Shame, the Hilton brand is meant to be one of the finest as well. I've stayed at a few hotels from the bottom of the barrel all the way to the top, and the Hilton is the only one we've ever had this kind of experience at.

Stayed here because of the walking distance to the exhibition centre, and because its a Hilton.

No regrets, excellent service, food and room (although a little small) - though the Apple Mac TV made up for that :-)
