“A good hotel with great river views”
Reviewed 20 December 2013

An good business standard hotel with up-to-date decor and room technology (free use of apple mac computer and internet from the room). Very friendly and efficient staff. Only thing that slightly let it down was the intrusive noise of heating/ventilation in the room we had and rather thin coffee at breakfast.

I booed this hotel through Booking.com and for a chain hotel it was quite acceptable,

The hotel is on the bank of the Clyde, in a non-city centre location so a car is needed (or use taxis) but they'll sting you £5 a night to use the car park.

The room (with shower) was clean and quiet, although for a non-smoking room it seemed to smell of smoke for some reason. Loved the Apple TV but at my age I would need to be staying for a week to learn all its functions.

We stayed two nights and were quite happy with both the room and the breakfast (usual continental or cooked fare).

Would definitely stay again. Nothing special but recommended nonetheless.

Reception and bar staff were friendly and efficient. Food was good, if not spectacular. Room and ensuite were spotless. Ideal location for my business requirements. Best review I can give is "I'll be back".!!!

This is a relatively small hotel on a busy corner although I was not disturbed by the traffic noise. The hotel restaurant dinner was very good but the rooms are very compact. The trendy Apple TV is a pain to use and none of the rooms have baths only showers so no relaxing in a hot bath after a long day. Overall ok but the Marriot and Crowne Plaza have much bigger rooms and better restaurants.

Roomy, quiet, river view, iMac in room, well designed en suite, good cheap parking and microwave meals in foyer...what more do you need? Only downside is the bar service was a bit slow but that's not really bad and certainly not enough to not recommend this hotel!

After a great evening at the Andre Rieu concert what a pleasure to come back to an efficient, well organised hotel. The staff were excellent with a fast and informative Reception and special mention to the "man in the gray shirt" who ran the restaurant. With a full house he still managed pre-theatre dinner and breakfast to run smoothly. I believe the fact that the food was good all helped to make this an enjoyable experience. The rooms were spotless and everything was as it should be for a good hotel. We will most certainly come again.
