I have stayed at this hotel previously & was happy with the location & standards. However this time the rack rate was considerably higher so I booked the Campanile for 3 nights but only stayed 1 & quickly telephoned the Hilton to see if there were any rooms available, such was my experience at The Campanile

My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. We got a great deal for dinner, bed and breakfast.
The hotel itself is great with free parking for hilton honours members.
The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. And we loved the inclusion of a fridge and Apple TV.
The buffet breakfast was great as always at the hilton hotels.
The only downside was with dinner. The haggis starter was excellent but the chicken caeser salad initially had no chicken in it and when it was returned looked like it had been thrown together with brown lettuce and no croutons.
It was a real shame as otherwise we couldn't fault a thing.

Dear Jillybean2109

Thank you for your review.

I am sorry that an error was made with your main course, this should not have happened.

Hopefully next time you stay dinner will match the same high standard you found at breakfast.

Kind Regards,
Brian

Fairly typical modern chain hotel with all the usual facilities. Bit like an upmarket Travelodge or Holiday Inn Express, with a few things to distinguish it, such as a better standard of breakfast and an iMac in the room. A few rough edges here and there that a bit of maintenance should fix.

Arrived late evening due a late flight. Hotel is conveniently situated on the west side of the city only a 15 minute drive from the airport. Great location on the banks of the Clyde with a lot of regeneration in the area. Next door to the iconic Clyde auditorium and the SECC so woul be ideal if you were attending a concert next door. Warm welcome at check in and room was modern and extremely clean with a great view over the River Clyde and the Clyde Arc. Good wifi connection meant I could complete some work before having a few beers in the hotel bar. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of Buffett (continental or full Scottish breakfast offering sausage, bacon, scrambled/fried eggs , haggis etc) or a choice from the menu such as smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast.... Parking was £5 for 24 hours. Overall an excellent stay, well done

Booked overnight stay. Staff extremely helpful and very professional. Room ( Queen Evolution) was clean, although carpet had dirty marks on it and bathroom requires a bit of maintenance work done. Bed very comfortable. Didn't have dinner but breakfast was buffet style which suited us. Plenty of variety. Breakfast served till 10 am and check out not till midday, so no rush.

We stayed at the hotel with an Itison deal. The room was had a great view of the River Clyde and the squinty bridge. Spot on location and a lovely clean room. We used the restaurant while we were there, and I must say we're never disappointed when we do. Great food and service.

We were going to a gig at the Hydro and had an Itison deal for the hotel. Hotel was lovely & clean, staff very helpful and food in the restaurant was tasty and the Pre-theatre menu was worth the £24 for 3 courses. The bed was very comfy and the shower was great. Breakfast was hot and plenty of choice for everyone. The hotel was very busy due to the events on at the Hydro & SECC, but we found it very quiet in the rooms and weren't disturb by noise at all.
