“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

I have stayed in this hotel 4 times now including 2 times since it was rebranded as a Hilton. I stay here when on nights out in Glasgow but only if there is a cracking deal otherwise it ain't worth it as it's £12 return to the City Centre in a taxi. Rooms are very nice with a big comfy bed, rain shower (no bath) and iMac rather than a TV. Breakfasts are the usual buffet style so a heart attack on a plate. Had dinner this time and it was OK. Spoiled a bit by the most miserable waitress ever, can't remember her name but she did have 'in training' on her badge. Rest of staff are the usual happy courteous type and provided excellent service. There is a car park attached but it's £5 a day charge which is pretty poor considering the price for a night and it's not really City Centre but it's probably because who there neighbours are.

In conclusion it's a lovely hotel but only go here if there is a deal as the distance to the City Centre is an issue but as it's next door to The SECC, Clyde Auditorium and The Hydro it's perfect for concerts.

Came to stay here as I was seeing a show at the hydro.. Didn't think it would be as close as it was! Room and hotel in general was lovely! Staff were all friendly, room was very clean and good facilities in the room.. Having your own fridge was a nice touch! Would definitely stay here again.

The room was great, a queen evoloution room with river view on the third floor.
I had dinner in the city cafe which was absolutly devine, steak cooked to perfection and the lemon pofit was a great way to finish. had a drink outside next to the clyde being shadowed by the impressive finnieston crane before retiring to the room for the night and get some excellent night photos before bed. Slept like a log in the huge bed which was perfectly firm but not too firm to make it rock hard. The morning started off well with use of the rooms shower with adjustable head and settings, the staff were all very friendly and willing to help when they could. the only reason for it loosing a point in the review was due to the poor service at breakfast, sitting at a table at the back wall towards the left of the kitchen is not a great place to sit if you want a drink or anything from the waiting staff who seemed to be unable to look left. it was when i had almost finished my food before anybody came over to ask if we wanted a drink, 25 minutes after getting seated, two were just too busy standing around chatting to each other to even bother looking around to see if anybody needed anything. so i say great for staying and having an evening meal but possibly consider breakfast elsewhere.

Well placed and easy to reach - with easy parking and only a short walk from the city centre, the welcome was friendly, helpful and the room just was you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. It's not Hilton - but the Hilton Garden is deliberately not luxury per se but we like the slightly lower key and slightly European atmosphere from this style of Hilton and so exactly what we expected.
Breakfast was comprehensive if a bit uninspiring but great value all the same.
Clean room and a good shower.
Overall highly recommended.

Room Tip: All seemed pretty much the same

Lovely helpful staff and lovely location, not too far to walk to centre, great Horel if you want a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of city centre. River flows past outside which is lovely.Hydro is across the road if you fancy a night out

The hotel is excellently situated for an overnight stay in Glasgow if you are going to a concert at the Hydro or SECC. We stayed 1 night for this reason. We didn't eat our evening meal in the hotel but we did enjoy a lovely breakfast. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, although a little compact. However, we didn't really need a large room when we were only in it for sleeping. Staff on the reception desk were very friendly and assisted us in finsing somewhere to eat late at night after our concert had ended. We parked in the car park for £5 overnight stay which was really handy. If we are attending a concert again I would definitely stay in this hotel as it met all our needs for this type of visit.
