Just got back from one night in the City Inn. The room was nicely decorated with comfortable beds and a lovely view down river. The staff were very helpful and there was a good quality breakfast provided. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for two nights in May. We had no particular complaints about this hotel. We've stayed at City Inns in Westminster and Manchester before so knew what to expect - i.e. very well equipped rooms at a reasonable cost.

We did feel this property lacked something from the other City Inns we've stayed in. The rooms seemed smaller and a bit rough around the edges (minor scrapes on the walls, aircon a bit ineffective etc). Nevertheless, the river views were lovely, there was ample parking and the breakfast was very nice. It was quite a walk to the city centre though - worth bearing in mind if you are going to shop!

We'd stay here again if we had a car but if we were just visiting Glasgow on foot we'd stay somewhere a bit nearer the city centre.

Stayed 2 nights whilst attending a conference nearby and found the whole experience first class from check in to check out. Very friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean rooms and a great breakfast. The I macs in the bedrooms take a bit of getting used too, but functioned well and even a minor hiccup in the restaurant with a mixed up order was handled with minimal fuss and efficiency resulting in 25% being taken off the order for the inconvenience. Faith restored instantly. Superb meals by the way and not too expensive. I found them far better than equivalent rivals who could learn a thing or two from City Inn about staff training and customer satisfaction.

I think this hotel is still nice however its getting seriuosly overpriced, its price of £129.00 per night no breakfast is outrageous, it was always good money for £98.00 per night with breakfast. Rackateering when the SECC has lots on.

Stayed here on a lastminute.com rate - £59 B+B. Never stayed here before and we were thoroughly impressed with the hotel. We were lucky enough to have hot, sunny weather so were able to have a few drinks sitting in the lovely seating area outside the Hotel beside the River.
The rooms were quite small but spotlessly clean and very bright. Breakfast was great. Was a bit concerned that the hotel would be slightly too far out of the City Centre but it is only a 20 minute walk along the Clyde which we enjoyed because it was such a fantastic day.
Will definitely be back, and would probably stay here before the Crowne Plaza next time we attend a concert at the SECC.

I stayed at the City Inn, Glasgow on the 8th May with my Partner as we were in the city for a concert at The Barrowlands Ballroom. The same night there was a concert also on at the nearby SECC so the hotel was pretty busy, if not completely full. It was our first time at this hotel but our second at a City Inn chain.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout the visit and although extremely busy at breakfast, they did their best to keep things moving in a polite manner. The Continental Breakfast selection was good and the Cooked Breakfast was good although slightly burnt.

The rooms were standard, much as we had experienced in our previous experience of a City Inn hotel, although the bathroom is quite cramped. The in room technology is a fantastic plus, including the wide variety of TV channels and use of Internet. We had brought our laptops to do some work in the room as we both had deadlines looming, however were unable to get the Wi-fi working, although it seemed fine in the hotel lobby. We also appreciated having a nice view across the Clyde.

Overall it was a great experience and I wouldn’t hesitate in staying at this hotel again and look forward to being able to stay at a City Inn hotel again soon.

This hotel was modern, clean and comfortable. The room a bit on the small side for two people, but no complaints. Having an iMac / Television in the room was really helpful to keep an eye on the volcanic ash situation! Staff helpful. Tasty breakfasts. Small fitness room a bonus.

Room rates seem to vary quite a lot - depending when you book - and if the special breakfast offer is available, don't hesitate to take it up :-)

We were in Glasgow as wedding guests / tourists... and enjoyed both the Sightseeing Bus tour and walking along the river then into the centre of town... a twenty minute stroll.
