Heart and soul of the Glasgow. If you want to feel how city lives, you must visit this street. Early morning it got romantic charm, evening times also magical. Glasgow's best street with amazing shopping and diversity. Must see place for visitors

There was an array of shops, malls, bars and cafes to choose from. On a good, sunny day, it is exceptional for people watching with street performers adding the extra charm. It does stay bustling till late evening with shoppers in summers. There are tourist centers aplenty in case you need to book day tours, or browse through attractions.
The subway and bus stations are a 5-7 minute walk away, which make it easily accessible.

City Centre esp. Buchanan Street had an excellent array of shops from budget names like Primark / Forever 21 to high end department stores like John Lewis / House of Fraser and everything in between. I cannot think of a single name that you could want for that you wouldn't find here or in the vicinity. Also, lots going on up and down the street with soooo many buskers singing, playing instruments, juggling fire etc (although this may be as we visited during the Commonwealth Games). Was extremely busy on Saturday but otherwise perfectly manageable.

The street felt clean, modern and pedestrian friendly with a great range of shops and cafes. Subway stations at either end also make it easy to get to/from.
