The Ibis has stark and utilitarian rooms which are alright for 1 or 2 days but I have sympathy for anyone staying longer. The bathroom is fine and the shower has good water pressure however you only get 1 towel per person- no hand towels. They charge for wi-fi in your room and they charge for breakfast, either is a good value.

Con: noise from saturday night idiots showing the world how loud their cars are

I have to review my stay at the IBIS Glasgow as it was an absolute joke. The stay was fine enough clean decent rooms however there cleaning staff is a shambles. We were woken at 7.30am by what seemed like a 100 people chatting in polish or Latvian in the next room for non stop until I went out to see and shouted as it was soo disruptive. On the first morning we got up early the cleaners were sitting around in the hallway, I find this totally unprofessional. They need to get a grip of this. Do not stay here if you like a lie in.

Room Tip: Do not stay if you want a lie in as overly noisy cleaners will disturb you

Thank you for taking the time to add a review for the hotel. I am pleased to note you enjoyed the hotel but I am sorry the car park directions were not as straightforward as we would have liked.

We were going to a concert at the SECC and wanted a place not too far away from the main attractions in the town, so stayed at the IBIS in West Regent street. The hotel is modern, clean and all you need for a stop-over - I would certainly stay there again in the future. Shower had plenty hot water, and for being on the 4th floor, had plenty power behind it. The rooms are basic, maybe not the biggest, but are ideal for what you pay. Have paid 2-3 times as much in Glasgow at higher-quality hotels, but after staying at the IBIS I really wonder now why we did. We decided to find breakfast in the town so can't comment on what was provided there. There are several places to eat within 5-10 minutes walk. Parking was in a multi-storey car park a few minutes walk away. Tip: don't leave it too late at the weekend to find a space, as it fills up with folk not wanting the burden of taking the car on a night out. The SECC was only a short taxi ride (£7 if I remember) but COULD be walked if you know where to go - took us about 35 mins on way back after concert.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor which was fine. 2 x lifts to get you there. The rooms at the back were quiet enough with no street noise that we heard. There WAS a group making a noise in the corridor at 1am but the hotel management soon sorted them. With cheaper hotels, this can happen I suppose (but can also happen in expensive ones as well!).
