I actually feel sorry for the excellent staff in this hotel as they are doing their best to keep things running smoothly. The hotel could be nice if a lot of money was spent by the owners on refurbishment. The carpets are filthy, the furniture looks like something from the 1960's, there was a distinct smell of damp in the bathroom of our room and various damp patches on the ceiling and we found that the air conditioning in our room was virtually non-existent on what was one of the warmest weekends of the year. We actually had to keep the windows open all night to try and circulate cool air throughout the room and were constantly wakened by the noise of the traffic etc on both nights.

It's advertised as a 4 star hotel and we were paying over £200 per night for the room and breakfast but it most certainly wouldn't rate as a 4 star in my opinion.

Very disappointed with our room and probably won't stay here again when we next visit Glasgow.

My friend and I stayed in room 226, best avoid if possible. Seems to be a problem with water coming in to room, ceiling at window in need of urgent repair, Dont really like complaining but did say to staff on leavimg, she said she would upgrade us on return visit well, may be not. On the plus side breakfast and evening meal were fine. seriously needing refurbished. Sorry there must be nicer hotels in glasgow .

Ideal central location on George Square next to Queen Street Station – ideal for shopping, nightlife and local attractions in Glasgow! This was a one-night stay to break up a long car journey but would definitely return to this hotel to make more of its facilities & to spend time in Glasgow. We stayed in a Club Room which was extremely comfortable, clean, spacious & overlooking George Square – great view and no problem with noise! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly - from the reception to the bar staff! Definitely worth a return visit!

First, the staff were so nice. I think the ladys name was Faiza or something. She was so helpful and kind.

The hotel itself is WAY old. The rooms are kinda gross and look like they need to be painted and redone.

Sure, it was cheap, the location is perfect but man, I wish I had bid lower. This hotels is not a 4 star more like a 2 or 3.

we would generally try to take a city break in Glasgow at least annually. We have stayed in a lot of hotels in Glasgow from Grade 3 to 5. we last stayed in the Millenium in January 2012. To be honest when we checked the reviews and scoring it put us off slightly, but we couldnt believe it had deteriorated to the extent of the reviews on Tripadvisor. We have returned from our latest citybreak in Millenium today 5 August 2012. Check in - faultless, reception staff freindly and engaging.Reception area clean and welcoming. Accomodation - clean and tidy with all amenities. Brasserie restaurant - excellent, attentive service, head waiter was very engaging even outside the restaurant, Chef came aroung the tables ensuring the customers were happy with the food. It is obvious since our previous visit that the staff are trying harder to please customers and raise its rating to its rightful position, in the top 10 hotels in Glasgow. Good Luck.

I had decided to treat my mum to a champagne afternoon tea at the millennium hotel sadly it wasn't much of a treat !!! After being shown to our table that was the last we saw of the waitress !!! apart from when we had to hunt someone down for a code to enter the ........well to call it a toilet would be kind more like a sauna/ public urinal it was revolting !!! the whole hotel was grubby and in bad need of refurb !!!!. As for the afternoon tea the sandwiches were stale and all three fillings contained raw onion the scones were surprise surprise stale as well . And to end our experience off a large dirty table behind us of leftover afternoon tea treats ??? was left for the 45mins we were there finally some greedy tourist walked over and helped himself to some that to be fair was the final straw !!
I will never be in the millennium hotel ever again and i would advise people otherwise very poor !!!
