Visited O'Neills on Saturday afternoon 17th May 2014 to watch the Scottish Cup Final with my good lady. Ordered a pint of lager and a Dry Martina & Lemonade, for this I was charged £7.25. Needless to say I only had the one drink in O'Neills, walked to a bar called The Toby Jug on Hope Street and ordered the exact same drink....price £4.60.Perhaps bar/restaurant owners in the Merchant City area should stop charging tourist prices and get real otherwise they won't be there for long.

With a group op friends we stayed for work during 5 days in Glasgow. We had very nice lunching and dining experiences, but for our last nigt ad O'Neills, we were very disappointed. We wanted to have dinner, the bar was full on saturday nignt, quite nice. We found a table, ordered at the bar. They offered 3 rosé-wines, 2 from Italy. We wanted to have 2 glasses of italian rosé, the barman told us, they hadn't but the other one would be similar. It was sweet stuff, not tasting like italian rosé. We told him, we didn't like it, but were forced to pay. One glass was not touched. We gave him the wine back and payed, never had had that in my life!!
The food was not tasty, many fries with my steak, but vegetables nearly none. All overall out worst experience in Glasgow. Perhaps it's ok for a beer, but definitively not for wine and eating!

We came here on a works xmas night out, we ordered from the Christmas menu. All food came at one time and was excellent quality and value for money for the asking price. Was a nice atmosphere and was served at bar quickly despite the pub being packed. Thanks for great night!!!

5 of us went to o'neils on boxing night at 6pm for drinks and meal. the bar was busy with football on in the main bar. we sat in the courtyard. food was fine (we dine here often), and drinks were going down well. after getting another round of drinks in at 8pm, we were told by a foreign bouncer to finish up, the bar was closing!! we were half way through the drinks we had not long purchased. he came round 5 minutes later and said we have to finish up. we argued the point to him that there was no notice up to say it was closing early and why had they just served us 5 drinks to then be told, finish up! he walked away and muttered something, a barman came over an said we should have been told 25 mins ago they were closing. we weren't. it was obvious they had took it upon themselves to close the bar and usher people out. after spending nearly £100 on food and drink, this was a shocking lack of customer service. we crossed the road and went to another bar but the treatment in o'neils really spoiled our night. we won't be back.
