Would highly recommend the Menzies hotel, were just home after out visit truly amazing staff so welcoming and friendly and eager to help in anyway, even my 8 year old daughter was mentioning how nice the staff were. On arrival while checking in the kiddys got there own wee check in sheet with a bracelet to access unlimited fruit juice at reception and a free ice cream lovely wee touch to include kids in the fun. The pool was fun for us all, dinner in the dining room was delish for everyone all needs meet as my daughter is fuzzy! My son was very impressed with all his course. We stayed in room 508 was lovely and clean, plenty of space for the 4 and bath was amazing the water was so hot which I love room was nice and cozy plenty of towels for us all. Breakfast was super my partner had the works and we couldn't fault a thing plenty of variety will all give this Menzies a huge thumps up and can't wait too come back xxx

Looks a bit bleak from the outside with a security fence almost encircling it completely BUT,
So much nicer when you get inside, the staff are as nice and helpful as any 5 star hotel.
The bedroom was a good size and the bath filled in no time with a good water pressure.
The dining room was good with plenty of room around ones table and the meal was excellent.
I would have no problem going back to this hotel.

Stayed here last night on a business trip. The hotel is bright and airy with a lovely spa area. Food was excellent and all the staff extremely friendly. Close to the city centre and motorway network. Will definitely stay here again when we are next up in Glasgow.

Great location and facilities..pool, spa, parking etc. ... also very helpful staff. We had a lovely big room with dual aspect views. Only a short walk into centre of Glasgow...Would definitely return to The Menzies

The Menzies Hotel was obviously a very classy Hotel in the past but the signs of age are beginning to show with marked stairways and tired furniture. Don't let that put you off because the rooms are still large, well equipped and clean and the staff both friendly and professional. The Hotel also has a large Secure Car Park (opposite the Hotel) and charged at £4 per 24 hour day

Our room included a King size bed and it still left room for a coffee table and two Armchairs. The Bathroom had a good power shower mounted over the bath but we cannot help be disappointed with the use of plastic shower curtains instead of a glass partition. Other positives are the Fridge and free Wi-Fi in the room and the free fresh milk if you ask reception.

The Bar had a good menu and the Ham, Eggs and Chips were amongst the best I have ever tasted, however, the draft Beers were not up to much (might have been a one off). Breakfast was really good but don’t leave it too late because the fresh food dried up towards the end of the sitting. There was fresh loaves of bread and Rolls, choice of fruits and yogurts and a selection of meats or cheeses. On the hot side, there were the normal selections plus Haggis.

The Hotel also features a very good spa area, which includes a Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Steam Room and Gym along with various treatments available (at extra cost).

Stayed here for 3 nights. The check in was very quick and professional. Shared a very double room, plenty of room, hairdryer, tv, fridge and sofa. The breakfast was adequate for my needs, however the food on offer was not always available. I did not use the spa facilities, but a colleague commented on how good it was. Bar service was good ans all the staff we met were very polite and friendly. The hotel was perfect for the Conference at SECC- about a 15 minute walk, otherwise quite a bit out from bars and the night life.

The hotel is situated on edge of the city centre. The rooms have good amounts of space, although decor could do with an upgrade. The sofa-bed was not good as a sofa, although may have worked well as a bed. My bathroom was a bit small and there was limited water pressure in the sink (just a dribble). The shower was at the other extreme of force. Bed was comfortable. The free wifi worked consistently well throughout the hotel. There is a small swimming pool. The surrounding area is underwhelming with views of either flyovers or semi-formed car parks. The staff were friendly. This is straightforward reasonably priced hotel.
