Reviewed 22 March 2014

Name has been changed to The Royal Scot, some changes to menu but thankfully still great food and a good price.

“A dive , a hole , horrid”
Reviewed 10 March 2014

Watered down drinks , cheeky bar staff , place looked like a cross between a cattle market and junkies paradise.......a complete disaster of a place !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered drinks jack daniels and lemonade and a malibu and pineapple. I could hardly taste my jd so asked bar staff to make it a double ...still extremely weak. There was no taste of malibu in the other drink which was also made to a double.

Still hardly tasted the alcohol , but what is the point in complaining any more once you see the clientel that are allowed to frequent the place...we just wanted out PRONTO

“Not the Goose”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

The Goose pub is no longer called the Goose, sorry can't remember the new name, but still the same clientele. Still a bit rough during the day but always good for a beer.

“Great Pub food, friendly staff”
Reviewed 23 June 2013

We stopped by for a late lunch and a drink. The staff was very friendly and they were the best hamburgers we had all trip. The beer and wine were ice cold and reasonable priced. This was one of our best lunches and the least expensive the entire trip. A fun place to go and grab a bite.

“The Goose Union Street Glasgow.......Excellent”
Reviewed 30 May 2013

We visited The Goose for an evening meal while in Glasgow for the weekend. The menu was brilliant (apparently it had just been upgraded) The food was hot and you got plenty for your money. Prices are very reasonable with a 16oz steak costing around £11 and a decent bottle of red wine £7...what a bargain.Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble. Also very nice beer garden at the rear. Would recommend this pub 100%.
