“Excellent value for money”
Reviewed 25 January 2013

I was worried about what i'd get as the room was so cheap but i couldn't be more impressed. The bathroom was quite out-dated but apart from that everything was brilliant. It was really clean, the room and rest of hotel were nicely decorated and the breakfast was excellent. The location was great, really close to the shops and staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend the hotel and wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

Stayed for 3nights excellent rooms.breakfast very good.Reception staff could have been more professional.also bar staff needed some training asked for a coffee and was told no hot drinks served in bar.Its not to hard to boil a kettle. Most of staff from eastern europe and were not trained properly didnt seem to care about guests. last comment would stay again you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: ask for fifth floor at front seem to be good rooms at time of booking

Stayed here on new years eve so were only really looking for somewhere to crash but it far met our expectations. Close to the train station and the club we were going to so it was fab! Room was good with a nice bathroom and a double bed single bed and a couch which we made use of!
Great sleep had by all

Ideal location just a few steps from Central Station, huge modern room with tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen tv and 2 sofas. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and had complimentary toiletries and breakfast in the morning was good quality and plentiful. All in a great hotel and we will definitely return!

My friend and I booked this hotel for one night as we were going to a concert at the Clyde Auditorium. We jumped in a cab from the Station and the driver was less than positive about what we would find when we arrived. However, it was not as bad as he made it out to be. The hotel is actually a 2minute walk from Central Station and there is a Wetherspoons on the same side of the street, which we ate at and was very good. The hotel itself is dated but our room was very clean and tidy and had tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. The towels and bed linen were spotless and the bathroom was also clean and tidy. There was a flat screen tv on the wall if you wanted to use it. The staff at the hotel were ok, not the best in customer service but certainly not the worst. When we checked in the girl on the desk was pleasant but not really bothered with conversation. We slept ok and the room was cosy without being too hot, noise was not too bad as we were on the 5th floor. We did not hear any noise from other rooms or guests. Breakfast was ok, a full Scottish plus toast - didn't like the look of the croissants though as they appeared to be very stale on sight :( Breakfast was a buffet style which suited us. On the whole this hotel suited us for the 1 night and we only paid £20 each for the twin room, so you cannot expect 5 star luxury. The hotel is very central and all the shops, bars and stations are within walking distance.

Excellent location in the city center. Excellent value for the rate you pay. The manager was quite helpful in giving useful directions for the couple of places I had to visit in a short time. The staff in dining room was always on attention. However, the quality of breakfast could do with some improvement..Tea arrangement in the room was quite useful on a wintry day.

Hole kicked in bathroom door, shower missing dial, very used mattress that simply sunk when on it. Cleanliness not the best. Didn't sleep very good - banging music outside until 8am in the morning!! Heard every sound from the room above us... Which was a smoking floor (yak!!!).
You get what you pay for I suppose at £44 for one night!! Lesson learnt there - would prefer to pay an extra £20 for better accommodation!!
Husband has got a flea bite from something!!
Breakfast was generous though..
