Decided to give the Handmade Burger Co a second go - first visit in Nov 2013 was not impressive.
And unfortunately neither was this visit.
This restaurant should be a winner and looks a lovely place to eat. We visited on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was far from being busy. The waiting staff (nice friendly young people) do a lot of "waiting" - hanging about with no-one to serve, while hungry customers watch from their tables. Yet again we had an approx. 25 minute wait for food.
When it finally came, our burgers and chips were tasty enough. But overpriced for what we got, I had a bottle of water to drink which cost £1.95! Nearly two quid for water !! Then when we began to eat we were plagued with waiting staff coming over to ask if we were enjoying our meal. Now I realise this is part of their "customer service" and it's nice to be asked if all is well. But after the long wait we just wanted to eat in peace.
Don't think we'll try for third tome lucky -sorry.

Went in here as it looked great and had rave reviews at the front door. Staff wshowed us to our seat and explained how everything worked with what sector u sit in and table numbers, picked our burgers and unto up and order and then pay , you get your own drinks and get free refills.
The food itself was extremely poor , no real taste to the burgers and I picked one "highly recommended" with chorizo could have been eating paper to be honest no taste , the kids hardly ate any of theirs burgers and my Mrs left most of hers , and the price was ridiculous we paid £35 for the four of us , wish we had went to McDonalds next door at least I know everyone would have ate their food. Definitely WILL NOT BE BACK !!!
All in overpriced food with no taste.

Great fan of the Braehead Handmade Burger Co. Nice fresh burgers. Friendly staff. Loyalty scheme.
Good at resolving any issues or questions. Well managed.
Always a winner at lunch time but can get crowded at night when there is an event on at the Arena, but as do all the other venues too. Staff will give honest wait times for food.

Back again this time using an O2 Priority Code, which the staff were confused about. This made the food good value. The drinks are a bit expensive, so if you can go for the unlimited refills. It was very quiet however the food still took a while to arrive. The food is very good, but the burger buns break up.

An over priced restaurant where you have to walk over to the tills to place order. The young lad taking our order was very unsure of what he was doing & had to keep going away to ask for help. The mini rolls my Partner had with his 'sliders ' were not fresh. The roll my lamb burger was far too big with a third of it left. The onion rings were greasy & tasteless. The chips were anemic, slightly warm, not in any way crisp - so pretty horrid. I now know why the restaurant had only a few tables taken at the height of lunch time. We'd have been better going to one of the two well known fast food restuarants (both started in USA), for hot, fresh burgers with crispy chips at a third of the price! Won't be going back there again! :-(
