“Great nights stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2013

We were met by very pleasant friendly staff in reception. We arrived about 1230 but our room was ready and we were able to get checked in straight away. Room was very nice with comfy bed and nice bathroom with arran aromatics toiletries. Plenty of choice at breakfast but some of the cooked breakfast was a bit over cooked as it was a buffet and just kept warm in hot plates. Overall we had a very pleasant stay in a nice clean modern hotel. Our only grumble would be a bigger tv in the room and some complimentary bottled water.

I have stayed here a few times on business trips and every other time I have been satisfied with the place but this time round it was not such a pleasant experience. I had to hang around for ages to check in and the room I was given had the most uncomfortable bed I have had for some time in any hotel. At breakfast I had to hunt down staff to try and get some toast and coffee. I got the sense at both check-in and breakfast there was a lack of staff. It was enough to make me try a few other places on future trips before I give them another go but this might have been a just a one off bad day.

Hello jtyn,

Thanks for the honest appraisal of your stay with us at the Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow.
It sounds like we could have provided a higher level of service during your visit. We do offer 3 different styles of standard room at the hotel so next time you’re in maybe we can offer you something more to your liking.
I hope this experience will not detract you from choosing Radisson Blu and hope you will choose Radisson Blu in the future.

Kindest Regards,
Victoria

Stayed in a business room. Compact by nicely decorated and great view if the train station. Sat and looked out of the floor to ceiling window drink my filtered complimentary coffee in the room. You even get real chocolate bars free on your tea tray and free sky movies. Wifi was great too. Hotel very nice. Sat up and played pool until late before having a great nights sleep. Food was great and hotel staff were extremely helpful. Not sure why its not number 1 hotel in Glasgow.

I have very little negative to say about our two night stay at the hotel for a business event. It is easy to find, right next to Central Station on Argyll Street which is easy to access from the motorway and really accessible for shopping and attractions in Glasgow. We arrived early and reception was really helpful giving us an earlier check in time and looking after the luggage. The standard room was clean, quiet and comfortable with nice furniture and a good shower. Breakfast was excellent and lots of different items available. The bar was quite atmospheric despite its location. Wetherspoons is over the road if you want a cheap and cheerful pint. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the food at the evening event was pretty good and discreetly served.our friends went to the Leisure Club for a swim and found it closed on Saturday afternoon so not able to comment. Another friend had a room at the back which apparently had some noise from an all night club. The lifts require you to enter the floor before you get in which is slightly confusing the first time but then seems to be much quicker. Will go again when next in Glasgow,

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough- it balanced being a large, busy hotel with excellent customer service and friendliness.
Stayed for 2 nights in a standard room that was large and spacious. There was everything in there that you could have wanted and the bathroom was exactly the same. Bed was very comfortable- even for my partner who has a bad back!
We ate in both restaurants- the Collage Bar had a great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend the cocktails, made with flair and tasted fantastic. We both had a burger in here the first night and they were delicious. The second evening we ate in the Collage Restaurant which again hit a very high standard. Waiting staff were attentive without being over-baring and the food was excellent.
Really can't speak highly enough of this place and the fact that it is so close to shops was just the cherry on top!

This is a chic, almost boutique hotel right across from the Central Station, which makes it very convenient to travel to the Glasgow attractions. The decor is ultra modern, staff helpful, and it is walking distance from upscale shopping. A traditional pub is across the street and restaurants of all types are also waling distance. We came for a convention at the Exhibition Center and getting the train Rover Pass was the way to go, we traveled easily back and forth. Don't forget an industrial strength umbrella!

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms on the inside are very quiet.
