We normally enjoy staying here. However, on this occasion we were a tad disappointed because two of the lights in our room weren't working and nor was the TV. (Not that we watch TV much, but the News is always welcome in the morning). The bed was brick hard - think sleeping o. Cement bricks. Today's top tip -avoid room 559.... Unless you like ultra hard mattresses.

Hello Karenina_J,
Thank you for your recent Tripadvisor review
Thanks for the honest appraisal of your stay with us at the Radisson Blu Hotel Glasgow. It sounds like we could have provided a higher level of service during your visit. The 2ns,3rd and 4th floor have softer matresses than the 5th floor which may be more to your liking. I have passed on the information regarding the TV issues and in early 2014 all TV's in the hotel are being upgraded.
I hope this experience will not detract you from choosing Radisson Blu and hope you will choose Radisson Blu in the future.
Kind Regards,
Victoria

This was our second visit to this hotel and the best by far. I was there with my Husband who was in Glasgow on business. The room was large and extremely quiet despite being in the centre of Glasgow. I really could not fault the service we received it was excellent nothing was too much trouble. I can’t comment on the restaurant food as we only eat breakfast but that was good, an extensive range with continental as well as an English breakfast. Also a great base for sightseeing in Glasgow almost next door to Central Station and very close to the Glasgow subway (aka the Clockwork Orange due to the fact its round and orange, according to the locals). Well worth a trip just to experience it. A great few days and would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Inside rooms facing the inner part are the quietest.

Hi Wakefieldwomen,
Thank you for the fantastic review! Of all the positive points you mentioned, needless to say the most rewarding to hear is the appraisal of the staff you encountered. Customer service is always the most important part of staying in a hotel and I'm happy to hear you found us first class in this department.
We hope to welcome you and your husband back to the hotel soon
Kind Regards,

I stayed only 1 night but it was the best hotel stay in long time!
Friendly service, great rooms, very good breakfast. Location is very central. Room was well equipped with all small things that you need. Breakfast had lot of varieties and was tasty.
Really enjoyable stay!

Can't beat location, room was very nice, king bed but still lots of space. Inexpensive given location and quality. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Short five pound cab ride to Kelvingrove

Stayed for 3 nights, excellent location a 2 minute walk to the Train Station, 5 minutes for all the shops, friendly staff, clean towels and fresh bedding daily and everything you require in your room.
Only had breakfast in hotel and this was of a very high standard, anything you fancied was avaiable from the buffett or made to order, would definatly use again if ever in Glasgow and would recommend to all.

I stayed in a twin room for 5 nights. The beds were too close together and fixed bedside tables meant they couldn't be moved further apart. The hotel is also a bit dark inside, as a result of nice modern design but it does mean the rooms have dark wallpaper which can mean rather peering into a dark suitcase, also around the lift area it would look much more welcoming, especially from outside the hotel, with some more spotlights. Those are my only criticisms. The staff are excellent, professional and have a real customer-first attitude. The room was comfortable (though beds a bit hard), nicely furnished, good temperature, nice bathroom with good amenities. Breakfast was fantastic so try to get a rate with breakfast included, really everything you can imagine at the buffet with further dishes available to order. Hotel is just over the road from central station, and they even have umbrellas available to borrow which is useful as Glasgow is a rainy city! Many restaurants and shops within a few minutes' walk too.
Overall an excellent stay and I'd think this is probably the best hotel in central Glasgow. I'd definitely like to stay there again.
