“Good! Furniture mover affected sleep!”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

I stayed here for a romantic weekend just before Christmas.

The service was to a high standard throughout and the room was lovely and spacious with lots of facilities you would expect in a 5* Hotel.

It does seem a bit steep to charge £16 each for a Buffet Breakfast.

I have no idea what was going on but there was constant noises coming from the floor above. It was as if someone was rearranging the furniture non-stop all evening and into the night. This affected my sleep quite substancially.

I advised of this upon check out and the member of staff acknowledged several others had said the same thing and apologised.

This hotel is best used for business. As ours was a trip for a family event we found it wanting. The first room offered was basic and smallish... we had to upgrade to a corner suit which ticked all the boxes. Obviously we also had to pay an extra premium, which was disconcerting. The staff were fine and helpful, even changing the in room coffee machine three times till one worked(?) As mentioned, it must work well for business but if you want to stay for anything else you must make sure you have the right room.

We came up to Glasgow for a long weekend. We arrived at the hotel at midday, but they had no problems in checking us in early (checkin time is 3pm). A great start and the business room we booked was good quality with free wifi and films. One downer was that I started to watch a film and an hour in, it cut off. However, possibly serves me right for being a boring old git. The hotel is right next to Glasgow Central station and also close to Buchanan street so perfect for shopping. Merchant City is close by so loads of places to eat and drink. Having got on the tourist bus that stops right outside the hotel (worthwhile doing!)I would say it is the best positioned hotel in the city. We will be back

Stayed here for a 2 night conference and overall it was just OK. the food all through the meetings were quite poor but the breakfast service was excellent. In fact one of the best i have experienced in quite a while.
I was lucky to get a business room whatever that is which was a typical room any corporate hotel would have. The lighting was poor and the free movie on TV did not work. Neither did the looking at your bill etc. Good amenties in the toilet and clean.
If I was back in the city centre I might stay because it is quite convenient right next to the station. Staff are professional and whar one would expect. I dont think anyone made an effort to go out of their way but to be honest I did not expect that either.

Room Tip: Ask for a business room without having to pay extra. Who know they might just honour your request.

I stayed here for a business event. The room was comfortable and well soundproofed (though with a slightly odd layout). Staff were great. Good was good. Location is very good as well. Would happily return.

There are things that you expect from a quality hotel, comfortable clean room, a good night's sleep and decent breakfast and they are all here.
What makes for a memorable stay are the staff, here they are friendly, polite and more importantly, helpful. It's easy to paste on a cheesy grin and do nothing but at the Radisson Blu, without exception, everyone I dealt with was pleasant, motivated and effective.
Also there are Tunnocks Caramel Wafers in your room!

Room Tip: If you are on the station side the club under the station is quite noisy, the hotel was busy when I...
