great location, helpful staff, rooms well thought out, probably wouldn't eat there again (no food issues, service really) but would stay again for sure.

I stayed at the Glasgow RSAS the week of 10-March.

Location: The hotel is situated in a great location in the city on Argyle Street, and only down ~2-3 blocks from the shopping district. There are many restaurants in the general vicinity, but I tend to regularly go to Venizia an Italian restaurant two blocks to the left of the hotel upon exiting the hotel lobby. The hotel is also one block away from the central train station in Glasgow. All in all, great location. Taxi ride from the airport to the hotel will run 20 GBP.

Staff: The staff is young, energenic and well trained. Very cordial, and they do their job well.

Food: Unfortunatley I only ate at the restaurant for breakfast, but admittedly, it was good and much better than what I'm used to when staying at the Glasgow Marriott. For breakfast they have a very adequate hot and cold buffett, and you can also order several items off of a set-menu for things that are not on the buffett.

Facility: The facility is modern, chic and well kept. Typical of an SAS. They have several bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice, modern and functional. I was in a suite facing the front of the hotel, 2nd floor; steet traffic and noise was never and issue. Shower was great and had sufficient water pressure (not always the case in hotels while traveling). My only concern was that the bed was very "springy". I nornally stay at Starwood or Hyatt properties and am used to a bed that I just don't want to leave. Suprisingly this Radisson's beds, were, well...horrible. They just need newer mattresses, firmer with softer pillow tops...a bed that makes the traveler just want to stay in and sleep.

Overall: I'd recommend this hotel for a short 1-2 day stay, but given the uncomfortable beds, I would not recommend the hotel for an extended stay unless you are not phased by the type of bed you sleep in.

Stayed here on 15th March for the 3rd time. Love it! Cant complain about anything- other than the fact I wanted to stay longer. Staff cant do enough for you and check in was so easy and made to feel like a VIP.
Gorgeous rooms and bathroom! Very modern and minimalistic

Breakfast is included and is very yummy. Buffet style so you can help yourselve to as much as you want.

I would go back here again and again.

Arrived on a sunday afternoon, checked in without a problem at 3 ish
Checked in to a room on the 3rd floor. I said to myself this looks like the decor of a travel lodge, spacious but old and worn looking bedding. Sat on the bed, and nearly sunk to the floor mattress was so soft. lifted up the worn duvet and top sheet to find a 1 inch foam piece covering the desperate looking mattress all broken at the edges.
Straight to reception where i was moved without any fuss to the 5th floor. However receptionish said unconvincingly "oh yes the soft mattresses are on the 3rd and the firm ones are on the 5th floor.
Entered the 5th room floor overlooking the courtyard and felt like i was most certainly in a 5 star hotel. All was good except the telly postioned a little high up in comparison to height of bed for my liking. Very minor and was delighted to have such a wonderful room
Headed down to the gym, pleasant staff and good facilities. only thing was there were no locks for the lockers and i had to leave bag at reception which i wasnt a 100percent happy with. Swimming pool was great. Headed to the restaurant later, again fab staff , fantastic food. headed to my room and put my head onto the pillow at about 12.45. Had taken a couple of glasses of wine so was tired enough after a long day. I nearly died i heard a sound outside akin to a car with the engine left on, it continued all night, a generator i would imagine and got very little sleep. Because of my lack of sleep could barely make it to breakfast and had no chance of getting to the leisure centre. on my departure compained without getting to mad to the nice receptionist as just didnt have the energy. Surprisingly she said " oh i didnt think it c"ould be heard from the 5th floor " i said "you mean it can be heard from other rooms " to which she replied "Yes". she then said "im assuming you dont want to pay" To be honest i never thought of not paying and left having paid for the restaurant bill . couldnt enjoy my day which i wanted to spend hitting the shops and went home wrecked.

Spent a Wednesday night here having booked a 'top secret hotel' that morning on lastminute.com. Well worth the £81 room only for an airy, well-appointed room. The hotel front is on a noisy street so I requested a quiet room at check in and was overlooking a side street, so slept very soundly. Only gripe was a queue at breakfast-time; as I was by then in a hurry I skipped breakfast, but if I had ordered it in advance I could have taken it in my room for the same £16 as charged in the restaurant.

This glass fronted modern building is next the Glasgow landmark the Heilan mans Umbrella. (A railway bridge leading to Glasgow central station) No hotel car park but there is valet parking if you use a very small lay bay near the main front entrance. Check your car carefully on return. Ours was bashed while away but we didn't notice until we had left the hotel by which time it was too late to do anything about the damage.

Cavernous lunge bar in the main atrium is popular. There is a Tapas restaurant in the hotel doing seom nice food. Breakfast can be eaten in the room for no extra charge at weekends which gives you that pampered feeling. Our room was up to the usual SAS standard. scandinaviam minimalist style. Perhpas a little more dusting is required in less frequented areas of the room, behind TV etc but you couldn't say the rooms were dirty. Friendly staff that generally kow there stuff and are happy to help. One of Glasgow's best, without doubt.

I stayed at the Radisson for three nights whilst working in Glasgow. Located very close to Central Station the location is ideal for getting around central Glasgow although the immediate environs are not the most appealing. The hotel looks swish and modern and the entrance is very pleasant.

Check in was swift and friendly, despite my relatively early arrival the staff sought to find me a free room on a busy weekend. I was given a so called Modern Room on the 5th floor at the front of the building. The room layout was odd - a central desk unit took up a lot of space and made movement around the bed a tad tricky. The bathroom was nice with a walk in shower (no bath). There also didn't seem to be much wardrobe space - presumably if you are "modern" you don't need many clothes. Unfortunately despite being a non smoking floor my room reeked of cigarettes. So the staff quickly found me a room on the 6th floor in one of their City Rooms. The layout was a bit better, though the bed being angled jauntily to one side meant watching TV in bed wasn't the most comfortable experience. A lot more wardrobe space though and a bath with shower over it instead of a walk in.

The hotel has great wif-fi, which is free of charge (as it should be). Another good thing is that if breakfast is included in your room rate there is no extra charge for delivering it to your room (again the way it shoudl be) and it's jolly nice when it gets there too.

The only thing that troubled me was that there was a constant background hum (not the a/c and several colleagues metioned the same thing) from some kind of machinery and a reguar (every 15 seconds or so) sound akin to someone moving a heavy pice of furniture - the staff couldn't work out what it was and I was so tired I slept anyway but otherwise it would have driven me insane.

Overall, nice staff, comfortable rooms, decent location and quite good value.
