We arrived by train midday from Edinburgh; our room wasn't ready, but they were glad to take our luggage. Since we were on a railpass, we got great advice from the concierge desk about which train to take to spend the afternoon in Balloch and Loch Lomond. There is a beautiful national park there (John Muir), an aquarium which didn't stop at, a nice restaurant/café, and lots of walking trails.

When we returned our room was ready. We weren't in it for the view (see photo), but enjoyed the layout, the very comfortable bed, the spacious work area, the large closet with plenty of hangers, and the tower which held the fridge (with personal space as well as mini-bar), the tea kettle, breakfast supplies, and TV. The bathroom was large, the supplies provided were quite good, and there was a retractable clothesline in the tub/shower. Everything was immaculate.

I'm a 3-4 star person and this is supposedly a 5-star hotel. When we asked about ice machines at the front desk, she replied "Would you like some ice?" "Yes," we said. Someone delivered a bucket of ice to the room (read, needed a tip). Turns out there are ice machines available, so that wasn't really necessary.

There is a computer for general use in the lobby. It was being monopolized by someone doing her business from there; when she was still there when we returned from dinner and a walk, we politely asked her to let us use it long enough to check our email. She complied.

This hotel is kitty-corner from Central Station and less than 10-minute walk to Queen Street. The city was very easy to see on foot, by bus or subway. We enjoyed our stay and felt staff was generally very responsive and helpful.

We had a terrific price on the room, which because of time of year, dropped to 89 pounds for the Thurs - Sat nights we were there.

Myself and a friend stayed on Saturday. The hotel is not in the best area. Reception and lobby are quite impressive, but that's where it ends.
The corridor on the way to our room was very dingy, and the room was horrible. Grubby decor and tatty furnishings, directly over an air-conditioning vent, and with the worst mattress in the world - when you sat on the bed, you literally hit the floor and I'm not that heavy!
Complained and was moved to another more acceptable room, but still by no means 5 star, but it was at least clean with a decent bed.
The pool area was like a communal baths and be warned, when they say "changing facilities", they mean communal changing rooms. Again, it was dingy and drab.
Would not recommend this hotel.

I liked this hotel. I was in Glasgow for a wedding and arrived a day early to do some shopping and buy presents. It's smack in the middle of Glasgow city centre so the shops were on the doorstep. It's a modern, big hotel that does what it says on the box. Everything works, the staff are helpful and pleasant. I was in a business room which was big and even though it overlooked the main street it was well soundproofed and you couldn't really hear much of the night's noise and it was noisy outside on a Saturday night. I had an early plane to catch home and the breakfast room wasn't open until 7am but there was hot coffee and tea and croissants available and once I go into the breakfast room they couldn't have served me faster. The Radisson is not small and it's not personal but it delivers a good service,

My partner and i stayed in a standard room at the Radisson in March and have nothing but praise for the hotel.

As soon as entering the hotel you are struck by the trendy yet elegant decor and met by the very welcoming staff. We were impressed from the minute we stepped through the door being held open by a member of staff fully equipped wearing a kilt, through to the glass elevator to our room accompanied by the porter and baggage trolley.

All rooms have electronic card key systems and electronic safes to make you feel safer about your belongings.
For our room only being a standard room i was amazed at how spacious and beautiful it was. The decor was warm and inviting and very elegant. The room was fully equipped with minibar, tv with digital channels, 3 phones and a lovely bathroom.

Location was great too with plently to see and do on every street.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone and will be visting again if ever again in the area.

I stayed at the Glasgow RSAS the week of 10-March.

Location: The hotel is situated in a great location in the city on Argyle Street, and only down ~2-3 blocks from the shopping district. There are many restaurants in the general vicinity, but I tend to regularly go to Venizia an Italian restaurant two blocks to the left of the hotel upon exiting the hotel lobby. The hotel is also one block away from the central train station in Glasgow. All in all, great location. Taxi ride from the airport to the hotel will run 20 GBP.

Staff: The staff is young, energenic and well trained. Very cordial, and they do their job well.

Food: Unfortunatley I only ate at the restaurant for breakfast, but admittedly, it was good and much better than what I'm used to when staying at the Glasgow Marriott. For breakfast they have a very adequate hot and cold buffett, and you can also order several items off of a set-menu for things that are not on the buffett.

Facility: The facility is modern, chic and well kept. Typical of an SAS. They have several bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice, modern and functional. I was in a suite facing the front of the hotel, 2nd floor; steet traffic and noise was never and issue. Shower was great and had sufficient water pressure (not always the case in hotels while traveling). My only concern was that the bed was very "springy". I nornally stay at Starwood or Hyatt properties and am used to a bed that I just don't want to leave. Suprisingly this Radisson's beds, were, well...horrible. They just need newer mattresses, firmer with softer pillow tops...a bed that makes the traveler just want to stay in and sleep.

Overall: I'd recommend this hotel for a short 1-2 day stay, but given the uncomfortable beds, I would not recommend the hotel for an extended stay unless you are not phased by the type of bed you sleep in.

Stayed here on 15th March for the 3rd time. Love it! Cant complain about anything- other than the fact I wanted to stay longer. Staff cant do enough for you and check in was so easy and made to feel like a VIP.
Gorgeous rooms and bathroom! Very modern and minimalistic

Breakfast is included and is very yummy. Buffet style so you can help yourselve to as much as you want.

I would go back here again and again.
