I was here for a scientific conference in Glasgow, and the hotel was excellent. The location was close to everything in downtown (this may not be what you want) and yet the room was quite quiet. The facilities were excellent. So was the food. There was a health club next door with free access. No downside. Would gladly stay again. The only thing I'm not rating was the value. I had a special rate for the conference of ~$170/night, which was probably fair, but others may face higher prices.

We got an early check in - which was great. On arrival of our room - was a double bed - we needed a twin room(which we had already specified)Housekeeping sorted it out - by seperating the beds -and moving tables& chairs etc.
Next problem was - the hairdryer didnt work - phoned house keeping - and they immediately gave us a replacement - which took an age to dry your hair.
There was only one towel in the bathroom for two people to share - we hunted - and found a bath sheet in a drawer.
The heat of the room was very warm(was coolish outside) there was air conditioning - which was good - but had to leave it on all night - and I didnt get an ouce of sleep as it was soo noisy.
The Swimming Pool was freezing
The sauna wasnt working.
The Spinner in which you spin your swimming attire wasnt working - and was told that they wouldnt be replacing it in the future.
The swimming pool changing lockers were big - but didnt have the locker number on the key, nor did they have a rubber band on them so you could place on your wrist/ankle
We decided to go across the road to Weatherspoons to have breakfast - which was cheap and nice.
For a 5* hotel - I expected a lot more.

We arrived in Glasgow on Sat 01st May for a shopping trip with friends. We decided to stay in the Radisson because the reviews seemed quite good and ebookers secured a very good deal for us. I was really quite impressed with this hotel. We checked in at 10am and were immediately given our room which meant we could freshen up and unpack before heading off for a days shopping. The receptionist gave us plenty of maps and directions! The hotel is very modern and all of the staff were very helpful. The room (2nd floor) was compact but it had everything you could need and the under floor heating in the bathroom was superb. The room was also very bright which meant a pleasant change as some hotel rooms are very poorly lit.
We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but we did have lunch in the downstairs bar. The food was very good but I thought the drinks were a little expensive. (We called at The Blythswood Square Hotel for pre-dinner drinks on Sat night - well worth a visit. Lovely champagne/cocktail bar upstairs).
The beds in the hotel were very soft, which I like, and because the room was to the side of the building it was very quiet.
As we had prepaid the hotel checkout only took about 2 mins and the hotel ordered a taxi back to the airport.
I would definitely consider staying at the Radisson again.
(If you take the aiport bus into Glasgow then get off at central station and it is only a 5 min walk to the hotel).

I stayed at this hotel so I didn't have to return home after a corporate dinner in its main function suite. Rack rate advertised at the front desk was £205 plus extra for breakfast though I only paid £99 room only. Quality of service was excellent throughout with staff friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was nice and impeccably clean with free wi-fi - essential these days - though it was very stuffy (the public areas were even hotter) and the air conditioning wasn't particularly efficient and was very noisy. I didn't try the next door health club (a separate franchise), the minibar or the room service, though the last two were predictably very expensive and unadventurous.

If I have a complaint about the hotel - and it's hard to fault the accommodation - then it's with the food and drink. The meal we were served at the corporate dinner was small and unexciting - basically, a main course of plain chicken breast with gravy. I also thought drink was expensive in the bar at £4.95 a pint - this is Glasgow, not Mustique, after all.

Breakfast cost another £10 and was very disappointing - a lot of choice on the buffet, but it was all so tasteless and poorly cooked I left most of it. Perhaps i should have gone for one of the cook-to-oder offerings such as omelette which may have been better. But the most alarming thing of all was that the hot containers for the buffet food were lit from underneath by a forest of what looked like burning cans of meths, all untidily and rather precariously stacked up. When I tried to open the container with eggs in it the whole thing tilted forward alarmingly and threatened to throw these burning cans all over me. This really is a potentially very dangerous health and safety issue the hotel needs to sort out before someone gets seriously hurt.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel, which was just for one nights stay for my husband and I for a relaxing night out in glasgow. The porter who met us on arrival was really friendly, showing us to our room and was full of helpful information about the hotel and local knowledge, an asset to the Hotel! The reception staff were friendly and so were the restaurant staff. Would definately stay here again. We have stayed at other hotels in glasgow, but this was definately the best all round.

This hotel ticked all the boxes, with the exception of the location. Wanting to go out to eat, we felt very unsafe in the area the hotel was located. I guess it would be ok if you either stayed in the hotel, but wouldn't recommend for women traveling on their own.
