Stopped two nights for our daughters graduation. The bathroom door had been damaged and didn't give a good impression, looked like someone had thumped it. The lift was rather elderly and made a clunking sound every time we used it. Our room was adequate, the shower was reasonable though a times the temperature was variable.

Breakfast was good, but the dinning area was cramped, people were having to squeeze passed guests using the hot water machine to get to the toasters and fruit juice, not good. Staff friendly and helpful however the bar area lacked any atmosphere when we had a drink the night we arrived.

Booked here as was going for night out in Glasgow. Car park was full but managed to get parked on street and as weekend was free.
Front of hotel and reception was clean bright and welcoming.
Got checked in no problem and given room key and told information regarding breakfast times.
Room was 17 on the lower ground floor which meant no view, but only here for one night.
Room was fine as really only looking for bed for night. Bed was comfortable could do with bigger pillows but could have probably got extra if asked.
Breakfast in morning was very tasty with continental and cooked selection included in price.
Overall was nice hotel and would stay here again.

I stayed here for 1 night with my partner. The hotel itself is about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Glasgow. The area around the hotel is also full of bars and restaurants so a trip into town is not needed! The staff on reception were helpful in giving directions when we go lost and were friendly when checking in. The room was a fair size and the bed was comfy. However the bedding was very thick and heavy, it would have been better if we had a choice of blankets as we happened to stay over during a particularly warm spell. The breakfast was fine although the "Continental" option was really just jam and cheese and despite the menu offering a selection of eggs only fried were available. I would come back to the hotel if I had to stay in Glasgow overnight but I would choose another location if I was going to stay more than one night. Having said that it was really good value for money (only £50 for two people!)

Pass this one by! Keep on walking! Don't let the recently decorated reception area fool you. Filthy with a poor service. I shudder to think that this hotel will be booked by our foreign friends during the Commonwealth Games - what a let down for the city of Glasgow. Unfortunately this booking was made by friends in arranging a get together in west end of Glasgow. Mattresses are disgusting and unhygienic. This hotel needs a health warning. I left and got a taxi home! Inexperienced management and staff.

We booked last minute and the fact we could bring our dog along and be so close to kelvin grove park was great extremely handy, and nice to have free parking and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again

Would recommend this hotel , room was tidy, bed was comfy and staff were very friendly when checked in and hotel is situated close to the city centre. Choice of full cooked breakfast or continental which I think is very good to have a choice

Checked in here as I could not get a room in my usual hotel the Argyll. Not a bad hotel though, The reception staff were very welcoming and made things very easy to check in. Breakfast was fine too. Prefer not to use tripadvisor to moan but maybe the TV/ remote control in the rooms could be done with upgrading. Very comfy bed though and room was clean. Its simply a bed for the night and at £45 represents value for money in my eyes. Would have scored 5* if the TV's had worked properly.
