Located in the Merchant City area, this property is convenient to numerous pubs & restaurants and only a few short blocks from all the great stores on the Style Mile. Clean, spacious rooms with well equipped kitchen facilities and FREE self-serve laundry downstairs. Only down side was the street noise both late at night and early morning. I always travel with a good pair of ear plugs so the impact to my sleep was minimal. Would definitely recommend and stay again at this location.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and visit to Glasgow.

We have taken all reasonable steps our building will allow to try to minimise noise from the street, when you visit again request a room to the back which does not look out onto the streets.

Many thanks,

Robert

The apartment was very roomy with a sitting area and sleeping area and had a well-equipped kitchen. Staff were friendly and professional. The hotel was conveniently close to the shopping district. However the bar next door was noisy and raucous. The brawling and shouting on the street below was disconcerting. The front desk advised us that the door is locked at 10 and we would have to use our hotel keys to get in. So sleep was impossible.

Thank you for your review, I am pleased to see that overall you enjoyed your stay.

The safety of our gusts is one of our main objectives and to ensure that everyone gets a good nights sleep. The front doors are locked in the evening to ensure that this is not comprimised and only guests can access the building using their room key. Like any city around the world Glasgow enjoys a bustling night life, the streets can get a bit noisy at closing time, however, Glasgow can boast a team of city patrol offers that ensures that any trouble is stopped before it starts.

I hope you choose Fraser Suites the next time you are in Glasgow.

Many thanks,

Robert

Booked a room for four nights and was really surprised at the size of our second floor apartment; huge bed in a huge high-ceilinged bedroom and an equally large living area. No complaints whatsoever about the standard, range or cleanliness of the facilities. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. Excellent city-centre location convenient for station, shops, art galleries etc.

Only two negatives prevent me giving this review five stars. First, (and a fairly minor point) the free wi-fi is patchy and slooow. Secondly, the suites' location over a bar means that there is a fair amount of street noise at chucking out time. This could largely be resolved by double glazing the large wooden windows of the apartments, but I imagine the cost would be large.

Al in all, very pleased, but we would take earplugs if we returned.

Room Tip: Ask about a quiet room if noise at night concerns you.

Massive apartments with great amenities. Ours had very high ceilings and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is very functional and stylish. Breakfast room is nice clean and great service, but it feels more like an office canteen. It is not carrying out the same feeling as the rest of the building. Certainly will come back

This place is good, but the location is a bit close to the area the front desk lady told us not to go after dark. To be honest we did not like Glasgow as a town, everyone is a bit angry and the city has an aggressive feel to it. The apartment we had was huge, and very well equipped. The hotel has free laundry if your with kids you'll need. Beds were super comfortable and the lounge was large and well equipped. If your in Glasgow for an extended time this would be a great place. Parking is next door and at your cost.

Merchant city location excellent for easy access to bars, restaurants and other entertainment.

We had booked well in advance so got a very good deal, worth doing, however I had requested a quiet room on a high floor and was offered a first floor room above a very busy (and late opening) bar. When I pointed this out the receptionist checked my booking and changed it to a room on the 3rd floor, that should have been dealt with before we arrived.

We had opted for a one-bedroom apartment and am very glad we did as it was very spacious. On first glance everything looked fine but on closer inspection there are a number of issues to be addressed.

The most glaringly obvious one was that the carpeted areas needed a good vacuuming. Throughout the apartment more lighting is required as there are only three velux roof window which don't let in enough light.
The duvet on the bed wasn't big enough, it barely reached the edges of each side of the bed. Also a lack of furniture in the bedroom, nowhere to put bags etc, everything had to be parked on the floor.
I was surprised to see, given the overall size of the suite, a shower over the bath? The bedroom next door has lots of space so it would be possible to extend into there to have a separate shower.

Having stayed in lots of apartment accommodation I don't think the kitchen area is very well kitted out, it was fine for an overnight stay but if you were to stay longer it would be difficult to actually cook much there. An oven and dishwasher would be required. There was also no paper kitchen towels provided - unusual.

The location is great, a higher floor does negate some of the street/bar noise but more attention to detail is needed.
A little training in customer relations is also required for frontline staff, not very communicative.

Room Tip: Ask for a high, quiet room.

This was my first experience of the Fraser Suites the accommodation is of a very high standard and provides all the facilities you need to feel right a home. I could easily live in one of their 1 bedroom apartments. The apartments are reasonably close to both Queen Street and Central Stations, they are close to many bus routes and are just around the corner from Argyle Street and close to all the major shopping facilities in Glasgow. In addition to shopping there is the night live of Merchant City and there there are also some of the major Glasgow landmarks close by. Residence in the Fraser Suites attracts discounts at some of the local restaurants of up to 20%. I will certainly use the Fraser Suites again when I next visit Glasgow.
