We stayed using a voucher as we were attending a show at the hydro. Upon checking in we were told there was only one room available on the second floor, is that ok? We were under the impression that the rooms would have been allocated before we arrived and didn't realise we would have a choice. We were happy to take the room and double checked it was a superior room, seemingly all the rooms are the same it's just the package you pay for! Package included water, biscuits, free wifi and newspapers. We were told the room number and as the voucher included it, we were handed a bottle of bubbly and two glasses, not the easiest to carry along with our luggage, no indication to the stairs/lifts and the whole check in process done with no smile. Room was fine, nothing special but what we needed it for. Decided to have a bite to eat before we headed out. Two burgers and after waiting 30 min or so the kitchen managed to get the orders wrong. We explained that we weren't willing to wait another 30 min so would just eat them, we really should have left at that point! Burgers were awful, dry, crumbly and no seasoning at all. Chips were like cardboard. Went to reception to get wifi code and pointed out no water or biscuits. Arrived back at the room about an hour later to still no water or biscuits. Went out for the night and came back for a drink in the bar. Still no water or biscuits so told reception again. 5min after arriving back at our room 2 gentlemen arrived with the water and biscuits, thank you!! Awoke on the morning to a letter asking is to contact the reception with a copy of our bill attached. Called down and were told it was because there was no card number registered but after a few click low and behold there was the card number. 'Shall I just process the payment on this card now?' Well no you can wait until we are ready to check out! Didn't bother risking breakfast and check out was a non smiling affair again! Given bill total but no copy of the bill until we requested one. Yes we were asked if our stay was ok but to be honest with a lobby full of customers waiting to check out and other around complaining we just wanted to get out of there. Won't stay again

I stayed for the second time at the jury's inn this last week. Ever hint about the hotel is great: the rooms, the general decor, the breakfast, the competitive rates, the location. However, what lets the hotel down in my opinion is the staff. Apart from a few very helpful and committed individuals who were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and smiley (Agnieszka, Irish gentleman at reception and adorable brown hair lady welcoming guests at breakfast), the rest were just not bothered at all. They looked like they didn't want to be dealing with customers. Not the best job then if you don't like to be on the front line. I really think that you need to be a real 'people' person to do this kind of hard job. Answering customers queries writes by a 'yes' or 'no' and not trying to find a solution to problems they might have isn't the way to make a good impression. Maybe something to be addressed since this is the only let down of the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights 17th and 18th of January , Checking in was very quick with very nice staff, Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the train station, triple glazing ment we could not hear any noise, Heating in the room worked very well we turned it off after half an hour as it was so hot. Beds were very comfy with extra pillows in the room to use if you needed them. After having a coffee in our room we asked for more milk and were given a jug of fresh milk by the lovely staff and the same the next day.
We ate out at Weatherspoons just along the road and had free internet while there.
We will stay at Jurys Inn on future trips to Glasgow

Room Tip: Think all the rooms are good

We stayed from the 17th to 19th January. It was a quick and easy check in despite the queue!
Our room was on the second floor and it was lovely, quite spacious and most importantly, clean.
There was plenty tea and coffee facilities and the housekeeper happily gave you more on request.
Our meal was included with our stay. It was fantastic! Slightly pricey for the drinks but it was the same everywhere in the city. (Although there is a wetherspoons next door which is cheap)
The hotel is very close to everything, right at the bottom of argyll st.
The breakfast at the hotel was also wonderful with everything you could want, plus more on request!
The staff were also lovely and helpful!
Regarding the noise of the trains that people are mentioning... you could hear them occasionally but it certainly wasn't loud enough to keep you awake!

A great stay and we would definitely stay again!

Second time we have stayed here, again as we had a show on at SECC, although this time was The Hydro.
The hotel was going through a refurb last time, but I can confirm it's finished. Rooms are lovely, and decorated very tastefully! Double bed comfy & view nice over the River Clyde. We had the railway station right underneath us but at 9 floors up this wasn't even an issue!
The hotel was clean & staff very pleasant... Tomasz the reception desk guy very charming & helpful!! He is customer service!
We never ate out of the facility but drank at the bar. Took a while to be served, even though I was the only one at the bar... For a bottle of Corona & Lime and a bottle of diet coke it was £6.
I would really recommend staying here if your attending the SECC or Hydro. Glasgow Central train station is literally next door as well. Also a secure NCP 24hour car park (Oswald Street) where if you stay overnight it's only £12.20. If you don't fancy paying £10pp for breakfast, if you leave the hotel turn left and walk 10m you'll see the Wetherspoons there that serve cooked breakfasts too :-)
Certainly if I'm attending any other attractions in Glasgow, this will be my first choice!! Thanks again :-)

The Jurys Inn is very close to Central Station. This means it's very convenient if arriving by train, and that the hotel is, as the station's name implies, very centrally-located. You're close to shops, bars, restaurants, a tourist attraction or two and the river Clyde. And of course transport. While the local Underground station at St Enoch lazily stops running around midnight, trains from Central diligently run all night. As the Jurys Inn towers over Central Station, a good number of their rooms look out over this triumph of 19th Century engineering, and with the aircon up full blast and the triple-glazed windows firmly shut, you might just be able to forget that.

Just about to leave this hotel after a one night stay having used an It is on voucher, such a shame as lack if basics has really let our experience down.

On checking in, looked great, staff polite and helpful and the room was great. Felt really pleased with the deal and was sure we'd come again. After going to a show, we decided to eat in the hotel for dinner - don't do it!!!! My starter of goats cheese lacked the ingredients it promised and basically consisted of mushed cheese on top of a pink cream like sludge - totally inedible. My main course was OK and to be fair my husbands was OK so we though it was just unlucky. Then, picked up my Diet Coke (not drinking this month to support Cancer Research UK) to find it loaded with vodka. An apology later and the wrongvdrink brought again. Finished being given bill to charge to the room, being told I couldn't as didn't open a tab and made to feel totally stupid. Was so annoyed at our ruined evening by then I was furious.

Woke up this morning to so much noise above our room on the top floor, thought breakfastvwas a good idea. Food was fine, spoilt however by the cleaner actually pulling chairs out at our table to wash them down with disinfectant wafting over our breakfast.

Glad to be going, really disappointed Jury's
