“A wonderful welcome to Glasgow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

We arrived at Glasgow Airport and took the Glasgow Shuttle downtown, taking the bus stop that Google Maps suggested, and walked the rest of the way to the hoel. The hotel was fairly easy to find, with a very close proximity to the Glasgow Central train station (which we used each day of our stay).

We were warmly welcomed at Jurys Inn in Glasgow. The staff were kind and receptive to the requests we had and were patient with us Americans who didn't know the trick to turning on the electricity (putting one of your key cards in a reader on the wall between the front door and the bathroom). Also, our triple room was just the right size for the three of us--we did not feel cramped at all.

In addition to the proximity to the train station, it's also located nearby River Clyde (our room overlooked the river), Buchannan Street shopping and St Enoch's shopping. The nearby McDonald's was a regular choice for breakfast and an affordable alternative to what the hotel offers.

The hotel price was a bargain! I would highly recommend Jurys and would certainly stay there again during future visits.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a river view!

Stayed at Jurys Inn Glasgow while working away overnite, hotel was nicely decorated with had pleasant desk staff who were happy to help upon arrival. Room backed onto the Central Station but didnt cause to much disruption with the noise of the trains. Bed was comfortable enough and I had a good nite sleep. Best thing was the bar staff, friendly welcoming and made you feel very comfortable which is very important for a woman by herself. Would recommend !!

We stayed recently when attending a football match. Hotel enjoys a great location. While the room tariff was reasonable (£65) it would have been nice for breakfast to have been included rather than being extra. We simply went to wetherspoons for breakfast as it was much cheaper and only 20 yards from the hotel. The room was a twin, adequately sized although quite small if you are staying multiple nights and got quite stuffy but we were loath to open the window as it would have been noisy. Room was also directly opposite the lifts which is never ideal. That said we were only staying one night so it suited us fine. All a all not too bad but could be better.

Room Tip: Don't get a front facing one or one near the lifts!

Stayed here for one night on business.

Check took 35 minutes as firstly there was a big que and the staff were taking forever. When I got to the front it took 15 minutes to get my keys.

Then got to my room and the keys wouldn't work.went back down to find out they forgot to set them up. It was nearly an hour since I got to the hotel and got into my room.

Room was average as best, the air con system didn't work properly and room was like a freezer.

Overall very disappointed and would not stay here ever again.

Other hotels are a lot better in Glasgow than this.

Stayed here for a 2 night weekend break ln March 2014. Good central location and impressed by easy check-in and friendly staff. Spacious foyer and bar area, both busy and lively with guests, but in a good way. Good-size room on 9th floor, very clean, great views over River Clyde and Central Station train tracks, which delighted my train-spotting companion! But no noise from trains, so not a problem.Ate in the restaurant on 1 night, small but interesting menu, nicely presented, very attentive service with typical Glasgow chatty style from our waiter.

Room Tip: Don't worry about overlooking train station, noise was not a problem for us, Higher floors have...
