“The 'best' end of Glasgow”

Yes, the West End is rightly known for being the place to live in Glasgow; it is busy, vibrant and as I discovered recently, vast. There are great shops and cafes and some of the architecture is really impressive, with rows of large houses, many of which are not split into flats, but in single ownership and beautifully maintained. A good place to stroll around on a sunny afternoon.

Wonderful trip around Glasgow if you havent been to Glasgow for a few years it's an absolute must . The old run down rough areas have been replaced by smart clean open leafy avenues and smart shops, cafés and museums and art galleries. The tour was just under two hours and the commentary kept me interested every step of the way. The hop off and hop on gives you a chance to call in on any of the many attractions you pass on the tour

Six of us were visiting friends near Glasgow for the weekend. The ladies were shopping and having afternoon tea, while the gentlemen had elected to visit the Glasgow Transport Museum. It is a fantastic exhibition and of world class status.
After the museum we had a bit if time to kill, so we headed towards the centre of the city en route to meet the ladies. Near Partick we went into the Three Judges public house at about half past three. There was a pleasant buzz in the place with moderate noise levels. A list of ten guest beers was on display; we tried several and they were of very acceptable quality. A discount was also available for CAMRA ( real ale club) members. The clientele as mainly male with several females there as well.
We were made welcome by staff and fellow customers alike and the service was efficient and friendly. There was a good spread in ages of customers. All in all, a pleasant place to while away an hour or two on a Saturday afternoon.
