“It takes a lot of talent”
Reviewed 11 March 2014 via mobile

It takes a lot of talent to make food so bad, lots of choice and reasonably priced, but everything food wise was so amazingly bad, ordered BBQ chicken, chicken over cooked, chips undercooked, tomato burnt, peas cold, mushroom greasy, two mouthfuls and pushed it to one side, was offered a replacement err no thanks, no excuse cheap doesn't = crap

“value for money!!”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

usually go in here for breakfast.According to my partner they do one of the cheapest and best latte,s in glasgow,.Its usually early sundays we go in so cant comment on how the food would be when the place in busier during the day, breakfast has always been fresh and hot and all in all it is excellent value for money very few places you can get 2 latte,s 2 good breakfast and 2 rounds of toast with jams and marmalade for around the £20 mark.OK,its witherspoons and you wont get restaurant type service, its basic bar service and food but its still good value if you are on a budget,on the sundays we have been in there are more tourists than locals!!!. have eaten in a few w.spoons and would certainly recommend this one....

“Typical Wetherspoons value”
Reviewed 19 December 2013

I along with a group of friends use the Edward G Wylie fairly regularly either for lunchtime eating or an evening for a few beers. You cannot argue with the value for money. OK the food may not be great, but if it's fine dining you want, then a Wetherspoons aint for you. However, if it's reasonable pub grub served with a drink for an absolute pittance, then it's perfect. Various daily promotions on offer such as Curry Days, Steak Days and Friday Fish and Chips. You will probably pay £6 including a drink ! Beer drinkers are well catered for with usually a good selection of guest ales along with the usual mainstream offerings.

Staff and service are good, and any issues are quickly sorted.
If it's a quick bar meal you are after, then it fits the bill.

“Poor service & Quality of food.”
Reviewed 11 December 2013 via mobile

Oder food, on a Wednesday chicken night. Was told that an issue with chicken wings!! Informed to order another meal. Went for Xmas dinner with extra roast potatoes, and pir pir chicken, what we got was a shambles. Xmas dinner came with 6 small roast, when asked was told 4 was right and 2 extra and that was why I paid 10% extra for 2 roasts. My mate ordered pir pir chicken, and got roast chicken with pir pir sauce, not cooked pir pir chicken. Also ordered onion rings and got the smallest 5 rings, the largest would have been the size of a £2 coin. Been going to this one for over 4 years, and found the food good, but the last 3 months it has gone down hill, smaller amounts, one night 6 chips is classed as fish & chips. The food has gone downhill very quickly, and I for one will be visiting any other place than this poor run, stained menu, poor quality of food place....
