“Completely mismanaged”
Reviewed 18 November 2013 via mobile

Been here several times as working in Kirkey. Can honestly say I have NEVER been served within 5 minutes. Appears to be different staff and management every day.
Been charged 3 different prices for a g and t?!
Nothing is cleaned away. Sat here now for over an hour with a coffee cup and plate on my table.
Worst Wetherspoons ever visited.

“Good for the money”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

We visited today at our grandchildrens' request. The surroundings were fine, and the children's pasta ( with peas and broccoli), hot dog, and baked potato with tuna were scoffed in double quick time. Himself and I had the ham, eggs, and chips, which were good value at £6.99 for two. I'm not a fan of the " order and pay at the bar", and the staff on duty could have been a bit more welcoming, but, by and large, for just under £30 ( which included puddings and drinks) , we couldn't complain. The children liked the puzzles and colouring in on the children's menu, and their pictures being pinned up on the board.

“good prices”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

the place is very much indeed of a complete refurb. The food is OK but it very much depends who is on duty. Went in for sandwich which was horrible! it was so dry and the bread was so thick it was uneatable - took home for the dog! Went in for a curry previous to this and it was good.

“Usual Wetherspoons”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

Dropped in many times with family and grandchildren always a good clean pub.
Staff are child friendly and a good healthy choice was offered to the children, service was quick and appropriate meal was given for the cost - good value

“Cheap and Cheerful!”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

I have visited the Kirky Puffer on numerous occasions at various different times. With the food, you always get what you pay for. The extensive menu for lunch and dinner caters for all tastes and the breakfast rolls are fantastic value for money. The atmosphere is fantastic at all times - it is quiet and relaxing on weekdays and lively and vibrant in the evenings, particularly at the weekend.

The concept of the brand Wetherspoon is great where customers order their food at the bar. It utilises all possible resources in the best possible way.

This particular franchise is well run, well organised and has very friendly staff. There is the right balance of a pub and restaurant that caters for kids, families, couples, old men and young ones looking for a good night out.

As a loyal customer, I'll be back and will continue to support thin establishment.
