We chose the hotel for its location, which is ideal.
An 18 floor tower block right on the corner of Sauchiehall street and a stone's throw from John Lewis and the Buchanan galleries shopping centre, and a short taxi ride from Glasgow Central station.
The hotel is about a year old, so everything is clean and fresh. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was a good, varied choice....excellent coffee but a queue for the ONE machine!
The only problem was the high-sided bath and lack of slip mat, so showering was not easy for my elderly mother.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and smart. Room temperature was fine. Breakfast was cooked properly and was good. All round good performance. The other budget chains need to raise their game by several degrees or be left behind.

We stayed at the hotel on Friday 23rd nov 2013. We booked two rooms for my wife and myself and my wife is in a wheelchair. We arrived at the hotel and found out that we could not drop off at the front door because the area Is designated as a bus stop. We duly parked In the nearby car park at Buchanan Gallery's, a short walk if you are able bodied but a bit of a problem trying to push a wheelchair and a case. The reception is situated on the second floor and the staff were most helpful at check in. The hotel is great for the concert hall being only five minutes away. The rooms were very spacious and clean with most things you would expect in a British hotel. Our only complaint was that when we returned from the concert we went to get a drink at the bar however there were no seats available. The bar is way too small for a hotel that has 18 floors. Our only other complaint was that only three lifts are available to service 18 floors and one of these lifts was out of action. We were situated on the 5th floor and the remaining lifts were coming and going and although stopping at our floor, they were unable to squeeze a wheelchair in at one point we waited 20 minutes to get down. Also at breakfast time one of the lifts was being used for housekeeping, again a lengthy wait. We arrived at the restaurant and was told that another wait of 20-30 minutes.
Despite these complaints we would stay again.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are similar

Stayed up here on Friday night. We were at Jools Holland concert at the armadillo. Very central handy for a wee overnight break. Room very clean, comfortable and modern. Everything seemed very new. Stayed as a family plenty of space. Breakfast great fantastic to get a decent coffee a real pick you up. Not enough lifts to cope with the volume of people staying and with 18 floors lifts are a must. My daughter took the stairs from the 15 floor and still had a long wait for us to catch up with her. Took at least 10 mins to get a lift that's e could get in.
My only criticism is that for a hotel that boasts a guaranteed nights sleep they could do with upgrading their beds and bedding. I stay a lot in express by holiday inns, they have far superior and more snugly duvets with comfy pillow. The duvet in our room was very thin and basic with very poor pillows and not enough for us all to have 2 each. But otherwise a fantastic location, clean and great breakup. Not a sound to be heard from the city or the hotel very quiet and the views from the room were brilliant just don't look down. I would defiantly stay again.

Room Tip: Stayed in 15 th floor very quiet

Stayed over here as my friends and I were attending a concert at the Hydro that night. It was just about the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and the room was very clean. They provide complimentary tea/coffee/sugar, but when we got to the room the tea was missing.
