“Brand New Hotel for b and b money”
Reviewed 13 March 2014

I took 15 people here for a weekend trip to Glasgow. Its really well located hotel with easy access to the bus station and the main shopping areas.

We booked well in advance and took advantage of an excellent rate of £29 for a twin room.

Breakfast was extra but at only £8.25 for the full breakfast even that is very reasonable.

As always with premier one of the big advantages is they are usually so efficient and well run and this one is no different.

Typical Premier Inn (in a good way). Comfortable, value for money if you book early enough, clean room and helpful staff. What distinguishes this one is its location. Right in the middle of everything that is going on in Glasgow. Ideal to explore the city and get to all the transport links. I stay in Glasgow every year for Burns Night and this is a big step up from the Travelodge where I have been before because of its own decent location.
The only thing about this Premier is that it is so big that breakfast can be a bit of a trauma but to be fair the hotel does recommend the quieter times and it is best to heed that heed that advice as busy times are very busy.

Our party of 4 stayed here (in 2 twin rooms) whilst attending the Michael Buble concert on Saturday evening. The room was a great size and was very quiet (14th floor so great views too), the shower was good, hand soap and shower gel included. Plenty of space to hang jackets and clothes. Good selection of TV channels and good controls for the heating. The beds were very comfortable and very clean with a good choice of pillows. The staff couldn't be faulted, all very attentive! We booked the meal deal (3 course dinner including a drink with your dinner on the arrival night then breakfast the next morning - all for only £22.99 per person! The food and service was excellent with a good choice for dinner and the full, eat all you want, with cooked option included, for breakfast. I just couldn't fault this hotel and would recommend that you stay!

My husband and I visited Glasgow for the weekend and made an advance booking for this hotel. The cost for both including breakfast was £55 for one night. Having stayed in Premier Inns previously this establishment once again ticked all the boxes. The staff on arrival were hands on and very informative. We were heading to the Hydro that afternoon and a taxi was booked for us to take us there. The breakfast as usual was excellent, room was clean and comfortable. Great location right in the city centre, couldn't have been better. The only downside was that when we went for breakfast at 10am on the Sunday morning we had to wait in queue for about 30 mins for a table to become available. The staff explained that it was unfortunate that a large majority of guests had all arrived for breakfast that morning at the same time so something to be aware of next time.

I paid £29 for my room which was unbelievable value. The room was a double, but could have easily had another on the sofa in my room.
All the usual amenities were included: TV (Freeview), Hairdryer, Air Con, Towels, Tea/Coffee etc. In the shower area, there was also a bodywash, and handwash, so you do not need to take these with you! You also received 30mins of Free WiFi per day of your stay. (This is my only criticism that the WiFi is not unlimited free... but I suppose you don't get anything for free).

You receive a key card which only allows you to go to your specific floor, and then corridoor, and obviously room. This was explained really well by the extremely helpful staff on reception. Check In was quick, easy and simple.

It is situated literally a 2 minute walk from the Bus Station, and has the cinema and plenty of restaurants/cafe's close by. There is also a restaurant located in the hotel, but I did not go to it.

My stay was extremely comfortable, and I had excellent views of Glasgow from the 12th Floor (the receptionist asked if I was happy with the 12th floor, and seemed happy to allow you to move if you didn't like heights). I cannot fault my stay with Premier Inn, which excelled past all my expectations.

Just stayed one night in Glasgow and this Premier Inn was great. It's right in the heart of the city, so very convenient for the shops and the nightlife, and also just round the corner from the main bus station. Friendly staff and a lovely large, modern room.
