Description: The Maltman is a long-standing institution in Glasgow loved by all ages. With great quality food and drink selections it is ideal for lunches and dinners serving food 7 days a week. The evenings do not disappoint either with a full house every Friday and Saturday night dancing away to a mix of chart toppers, RnB, Pop, golden oldies and a little bit of cheese rolled in too. For the sports fan, the Maltman has 2 sky boxes, several HD TVs and a huge projector so you can relax and enjoy your favourite match. Children are welcome for food too so it really is a place for everyone. The Maltman gives a classy welcome at all times of day, whether you're in for a quiet coffee or a weekend twirl on the dance floor.

Called in for a drink or two (didn't order food but the upstairs restaurant was packed) As the night went on the bar got pretty crowded. There was a DJ was playing a great selection of music which suited all ages and lots of people were dancing. Staff were very attentive. I will definatly be back next time I'm in Glasgow.

We live near the Maltman. It was recently refurbished. We were hungry and skint and couldn't be bothered cooking.

We went here.
Staff were really nice.
I had cheese and bacon burger.
Burger was full of gristle.
Bacon was not crispy, it was very fatty.
The chips were over-cooked and your standard frozen chips.
Onion rings also over-cooked.

Husband had a steak pie, he put the meat in his mouth and each piece had to be removed/spat out because it was so chewy and fatty.

Food is cheapish, but across the road you get stuff for the same price practically and it is edible.

Won't be going back, which is a shame as the staff are nice.

Visited here initially just for a few beers on a quiet Monday night. It was around 830pm and upon grabbing a food menu the friendly waitress came over and asked if I'd like to order. I didn't have high expectations regarding the quality of the food based on the price. For £16 the Ribeye steak was cooked ok and the chips were just fine - the peas looked over held / cooked but I hate peas anyway ;-)

Both women behind the bar provided exceptional customer service and were both friendly and very customer orientated.

A night out with friends was ruined by the DJ who we felt was rather rude. Apart from him it was a good night.
