Stayed here recently for one night with a friend.

Hotel is excellent situated and is in easy walking distance of both Glasgow Central and Queen Street railway stations. Buchanan Street and the Merchant City are also very close by.

Hotel itself was very nice, in a relatively busy area of the centre but not at all noisy during the night. Room was large, comfortable and clean.

Didn't try the restaurant but the bar was good. Staff were helpful and approachable also.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a city break, mostly to see the Rennie Mackintosh designs. The location is perfect (max 10 min stroll from the station) central for shops and restaurants etc. Despite being in the centre the triple glazing shuts out the traffic noise. We booked ahead and I have to say the price was very reasonable for a Radisson so I booked a superior room on the 5th floor thinking we would get a view - wrong. There are no views from the 5th floor only strip windows well above head height. We didn't really want all the extra 'dead' floor space and rather standard size bed so asked to move. The staff were very helpful and found us a standard room below with massive bed and windows, great. Sorry to be picky but.....one of the attractions of this hotel was the minimalist modern interiors and they were fine except so minimalist that there was nowhere to hang your coat, usually wet coat as we are in Glasgow, just a compact wardrobe where you have hung your dry clothes. Again in the bathroom, very nice decor but nowhere to hang your lovely fluffy towel when its wet. Maybe the designers are more used to the tropics. But these are details, the beds are very comfy and everything worked. We didn't try the breakfast as it is expensive if you haven't paid in advance and the Willow Tea Rooms do a lovely breakfast if you have the time for a short walk. We did try the restaurant and bar which is great as a standby but limited. Couldn't fault the staff and yes I would stay there again.

Room Tip: We were told that the rooms are different shapes and sizes due to it being a refurbished old buildin...

Hi Jan130,

Thanks for the excellent review!

I'm glad to hear the staff were on hand to change your room. As we have 91 bedrooms all with different characteristics, there is plenty of choice to meet our guest’s needs.

I hope we see you again soon.

I stayed at the Park Inn for business and having booked a Superior room at £160 (the only one available apparently!?) I wasn't overwhelmed by it at all. There was nothing Superior about it apart from a free bottle of wine. The room was massive, I think a family room as there was a sofa bed...although it looked silly at one end of the massive room too far away from TV. The bed was super comfy though! Probably the best bed I've slept in at a hotel before!!

The bathroom again was massive, with half of it just an empty space at one end, not laid out well at all. The shower was over the bath, and was pretty crap at that. For a 'superior' room the bathroom could have easy taken a bath at one end and a decent walk in power shower at the other. The toiletries were also basic, had much better as standard in other hotels.

The worst thing for me was that the water went off...twice! Apparently this was because there was a lack of water pressure and I guess because I was on the top floor. For a new hotel this was really disappointing.

I did have dinner at the hotel, and that was good although surprised my fish and chips were served with french fries!? The fish was tasty though. Breakfast was ok, the full english luke warm (as it always is everywhere).

To finish on a positive, the staff were all great. Very welcoming, pleasant and attentive.

Hi Scott E,

Thanks for the Tripadvisor review.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed the trip to Glasgow. A comfy bed is paramount during any hotel stay, and to be considered the best in your eyes is great!
Thank you also for your kind appraisal of the hotel staff, all of which are valuable assets to the hotel and overall guest experience.
I'm sorry you had to put up with the water pressure issue we faced that day. You will be glad to know this has subsequently been resolved.
I hope when your next in Glasgow you will choose the Park Inn by Radisson again.

Lovely large bedroom with a spotlessly clean bathroom with powerful shower. Great linen and towels. Comfy bed and great pillows. Fab full breakfast options. Staff were very attentive and quick to provide service. There is no room service but this must be part of the cost saving making the room cost including breakfast very reasonable.

We stayed in this Hotel over the Easter Holidays and was very pleased with hotel and the location. It was how first time in Glasgow and found it quite easy getting around on foot The Hotel breakfast was very expensive for what you could choose from. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. There is a Weatherspoon next door where breakfast was less than £5. Also how room was at the front of the Hotel and was very noisy so we didn't get much sleep while we were there. Ask for a room at the back. The room was large and had tea/coffee facilities, but we found there wasn't any draws to put underwear and tops etc.
There was a safe in the wardrobe. Beds were comfortable.
. We also recommend City Sightseeing Tour Bus which cost £12 for 1 day or £14 for 2 days. It does 28 stops which includes quite a few main attractions. We did the Riverside Museum, The Tall Sip which was free to get in and very interesting for children as well. Also The Botanic Gardens was nice especially if it is good weather it was very busy.
There is a nice Italian Restaurant next door called Toni Macaronis also on the other corner there is Fratelli Sarti which are both good foor and nice atmosphere.
You can get the airport bus when you land that drops you off 10 min walk from Hotel. It takes around half hour.
Hotel was very clean and friendly but not many people eat there during how visit.

Hi 7august,

Thanks for the great review!

Glasgow is an excellent city to stroll around in, but using the sightseeing bus allows you to capture all the main areas.

We are thrilled to know you enjoyed your trip and I hope we see you again soon.
