Our aim is to bring you the best cinema, from the latest releases and cult classics to world cinema and ballet. “Fantastic”
Reviewed 19 May 2013

Visited the Grosvenor for the first time yesterday. We had booked a sofa and were very glad we had (although the seats were very comfortable too). Small cinema with tables at the side for drinks and snacks and loved having a glass of wine while watching the film!!! We are talking about our next visit already.

Hi Polly,

Wow, we’re so glad you put some time aside to leave such a nice review of your visit to our little cinema! It’s always wonderful to hear that people enjoy what we have to offer here, we really do make an effort to do things a bit differently and the sofas and wine are a part of that.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for your next visit, hopefully the occasion you left your comments about will be the first of many!

“Great night out for the release of skyfall!”
Reviewed 18 May 2013 via mobile

Went here with my partner for the release of skyfall and had booked dinner and the movie with the offer. The food was lovely and I just love the atmosphere of the place. Then went downstairsfor the movie in the most comfy cinema in the world with lovely leather seats and it's made even better by the bar you can get drink to take into the movie with you. Drink is a little pricey but it's well worth it!

Hi Frazer,

Sorry for the lateness of this reply, although your visit was some time ago we’d still like to take the opportunity to thank you for your lovely comments!

The ‘Dinner and a Movie’ package we offer with the Grosvenor Cafe is fantastic for a special night and we’re so glad you enjoyed each part of it.

Hope to see you again soon!

“This cinema stinks”
Reviewed 11 April 2013

This is the most comfortable cinema in Glasgow, the luxurious seats are better than my living room. You can take a real drink in, just like in the movies and buy (over priced) candy, just like in the movies. BUT, IT STINKS.
There is an awful fish odour in screen two. I don't know if this comes from the restaurant/kitchen above, but it makes for an uncomfortable experience. I have complained about this before and was generously given free tickets and assured the problem would be resolved. It wasn't. I've been back twice and it's so unbearable I won't be returning.
Sort it out.

Hi Matilda,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate all feedback as it gives us the opportunity to improve. I must apologise for the delay in our response, we’re a bit new to Tripadvisor!

As you know we are aware of the issue you raised in regards to your visit and we’d like to offer our sincere apology again that you did not experience the Grosvenor at its best. You’re right in saying that we share the lane with several restaurants and we have made a real effort to eliminate any odour resulting from this, including replacing the carpets throughout the corridor and screens.

We’re glad to hear you appreciate the comfy sofa seats and the fact that we’re fully licensed as we’re proud to be able to offer something a little different here at the Grosvenor.

Again, we’re so sorry that your trips to the Grosvenor were spoiled and we really do hope you’ll give us another chance to give you the unique cinema experience you should have had.
