I've always liked the Grosvenor for comfort and the relaxed atmosphere - and the ability to enjoy your film with a glass of wine. But my visit last night was not a good one. The bar alongside had no toilet roll and an out of order hand drier - at 6.30pm. There was one barman on dealing with a queue which was out of the door. The feed of the National Theatre Live production kept cutting out and although the management tried to address this my handing out free passes, it was not satisfactory. At the interval, the refreshment queue was held up because the one member of staff at the box office/refreshment counter was busy dealing with people who wanted full refunds. I don't know what the problem was with the NTL feed but my other gripes could have been addressed by having enough people on to maintain the facilities and deal with the volume of custom. My complaint on the Grosvenor's Facebook page has been completely ignored too.
