“One of the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

I have traveled all around the world and I have to say this is my favourite Thai restaurant! A huge selection of dishes and always excellent! The service is top notch and I'm never disappointed! I love that you can see into the kitchen at them cooking. I definitely recommend a visit.

“Close to the hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

The décor of this restaurant is overwhelmingly exotic, but the décor exceeds the food, in my opinion. Also the background music was very poorly chosen for such an elegant décor, and way too loud. I understand it is part of a chain.

“A lovely treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 March 2014

My partner and I come here every now and again as a treat, and enjoy it every time. A little on the pricey side for what it is maybe, but we feel it is the venue which you are paying for. Both the Glasgow and Edinburgh restaurants are beautiful inside, and we have always received fantastic service.

The best thing on the menu is the 'crab and prawn dumplings', we get them every single visit.

“good Thai”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

I had been recommended here by a couple of friends and made a reservation (best to) to have a Saturday lunch after shopping with the family. The townhouse is an extremely grand mercantile (old bank?) building right on Buchanan St and the entrance is up a flight of stairs and then on to the first floor, probably less suitable for the infirm - it would be best to check about lifts. Smart loos on 2nd floor.
Ground floor greeting great but they are a bit precious about their booths which are fun to have if there is a group of you. if you want a booth do book one.

Service other wise was great and the grand dining room setting fun although purists would find the decor - Thai sculpture meets Edwardian interior - a little jarring and the seating outside the booths very standard.

Extensive menu and we had off the a la carte ( good lunch menu at £14 per head) the mixed asian starters shared 2 between 3, followed by Pad Chai, seafood soup and scallops atop black pudding the latter (mine) perhaps not as confident as the genuinely Thai dishes, desserts looked less interesting so we just had teas to follow. with a couple of soft drinks a couple of glasses of wine the bill was £91 including service. In summary, better than most Thai restaurants for food and surroundings, service generally quite solicitous though at a price.
