Description: Our name dates back to 1871, when the pub was owned by whisky maker Archibald Lauder. Back then it had seven bars including a secret one upstairs, and even a barber's shop downstairs. These days we don't offer a haircut for a penny, but we do serve up a cracking pint of cask ale and plenty of tasty pub-food - all at great prices.

Rested our feet and dropped in for lunch to escape the sales mania outside. Order at the bar, as in Wetherspoons. Had two stake dinners, with extra side plus a bottle of house Rose (£6.99) that was surprisingly very nice.Food was very good for a pub lunch and the waitress was very pleasant "give me a shout if you need anything". All in all, good value for money and two fulfilling meals and a bottle for less than £25.00 for two.Situated very close to the Pavillion theatre and the Royal Concert Hall, so great for pre theatre food. Def be back.

We went in to get out the rain and grab some lunch, this was my first experience of Lauders however my girlfriend spoke highly of it and it met and surpassed all standards. The food was lovely and came in large quantities. The drink was cheap ( what more can you ask for). And the bar staff were great! Ill be back again!

Highly Recommend the New Yorker Burger

This was a trip down memory lane for me as this is one of the few remaining pubs that hasn't been altered greatly since the 60's! Only change now is the thick fug of smoke that greeted you upon entering has now been replaced by the aroma of freshly cooked food. It was a treat for me to return on a busy Friday night just to immerse myself in the atmosphere and enjoy the banter from both customers and staff. Good wholesome pub food was served at reasonable prices and plentiful portions. Nice selection of beers with a couple of cask ales including Wychwood breweries "Hobgoblin" ale. Good value all round.
