“Fantastic family room”
Reviewed 30 August 2011

The family room we had was beyond our expectations. It was on the front, curved part of the building so that allowed for a unique, spacious layout. Two twin beds and a double, bed with lots of room to walk around. The check in was quite easy at the self-check kiosk. There were 2 or 3 three staff there offering assistance as I was going through the screens. The location was very central to the shops, train stations and restaurants. We enjoyed the area very much. We ate breakfast in the restaurant both mornings. The chidlren ate for free which was a great bonus. We had snacks and drinks in the bar area one evening and also ordered a take-out pizza for the room. The room had a nice large TV, hairdryer and plenty of towels. We are still amazed at the great deal we got here! We made our booking online, about 1 month in advance and paid just under 60 pounds per night.

Great location, room was well equipped, spacious, clean and immaculate bed linen. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, particularly the dining staff, the lovely lady who greeted and seated us for breakfast every morning, Don, who ensured we were informed of the 'Chef's Special' each evening and was happy to amend our dining time and table requirements to accommodate our five extra dinner guests on two occasions at very short notice and, Johnnie who was our very attentive waiter and who made sure we had excellent service throughout the meals. This is a great place to stay in the city centre and we look forward to another visit very soon. Well worth a visit.

My friend and i stayed in this premier inn on 26th August as we were having a nightout in Glasgow. We got it at a really good price £29 per room (Euro Hostel was charging £45 per room for that night!). The hotel itself is fine, rooms are fairly big and nicely decorated, basically had all we needed for our trip. The only downside of the hotel was that it was noisy - guests/staff were quite noisy early on in the morning! We got chapped up at 11am by a maid, when i opened the door she apologised and went on her way! Check out was 12 noon so were well within our rights to still be in the room at that time. On top of that, the filming of the film World War Z was going on outside and required extras to scream whilst running up the street, again not ideal!

All in all we had a comfortable stay and the rooms were fine for the purpose and would i return to the hotel, yes i probably would as it is very central. But, i wouldn't park in the car park opposite the hotel as it charged me £18.30!! that's with a 10% discount from the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at back of hotel away from street

Very reasonably priced and well situated hotel. Room was very clean. Was expecting some noise as hotel was in city centre but was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was(even with Brad Pitt filming outside!) I will certainly return there.

Hotel was very clean & quiet, despite central location and filming of 'World War Z' just outside the door!
Nicely sized roorm & comfy bed - what more could you want?

We stayed Tuesday night in the hotel, with all the movie filming going in and around George Square we thought we would have problems getting parked and be disturbed by noise.
We couldn't have been more wrong, got parked just along from the hotel, no noise at all from the filming or the moving about of the filming equipment.
A really good nights stay in a pleasant, clean, fresh, welcoming room.
