Good location, rooms clean and staff friendly. Don't need much more than that for a budget hotel. The breakfast and dinner menus were quite comprehensive in their choice. WiFi was available and free for the first 30 minutes.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week. Found the hotel bright and airy, check in easy and straight forward. Room clean and of a good size, as you would expect from the group. Overnight parking was at a nearby NCP, £10 for 24 hours.

Having stayed at this hotel previously I had no qualms about a re-visit. This time I wasn't as impressed! One towel for a dual booking; internet only free for thirty minutes (per day); hole in duvet cover and worst of all was the traffic noise - didn't / couldn't close my eyes until 2am!! Staff were all very friendly and helpful; bar and restaurant very clean. Complaint regarding noise was readily taken on board with a promise my comments would be passed on to Management. If you visit and book ahead make sure you ask for a room at the rear of the building...

Room Tip: As above - ask for a room at the rear of the building.

The room is big but there aren't any sockets in the bathroom, and they gave us only one towel (and a half) per person.
The receptionists never say Hello (while the waitresses during breakfast are very kind).
Internet is not free! It costs 3 pounds a day and you can connect only 2 devices.

Great bang for your buck. Loved that is was an old building with character but modern inside. Very clean and the staff are very friendly. Bed a bit hard for our tastes but everything else was great. Fantastic location to George Square and Merchant Square.
