Well, the hotel is right in the heart of the city (if you don't know it's there, you'll walk past it a few times before you go in!), so it was obviously quite noisy in the evenings. The cafe and restaurant on the main floor definitely impact the noise level on the 1st floor, and one of our rooms spent the evenings with the aroma of the curry from downstairs. Not altogether unpleasant, but quite unexpected.

Rooms are very small if you're used to any amount of space, but comfortable even so.

Small (but functional) televisions and a full ensuite with each room (with shower stall) were pretty much perfect for our needs. Those with smaller children would be advised to find a more kid-friendly environment, however.

The restaurant had quite good meals, but the breakfast selection was somewhat limited. All tasty, just not much to choose from.

At first the hotel seems nice, reception area is well presented but as soon as I got into the lift that changed. Lift vibrated like it was going to break and then the floor in the corridor was uneven. When I got to my room it looked ok until I got inside properly. There were marks all over the walls and the bathroom was a disgrace... absolutely filthy. Thick blacvk marks lined the bath making me feel dirtier getting out of the shower than when I got in. Would not stay here again. Was glad to leave after my 2night stay.

The hotel is opposite Glasgow Central station, but ironically the most noise comes from the back of the hotel i'e drunks, bins being emptied at 4 in the morning...
the entrance to the hotel looks like a low grade soho porn shop from the 70's with blue lighting and light beads, but once inside things do improve. My first room was rejected beacuase of a constantly dripping tap but the escond was fine apart from the miniature bath and a constant smell of damp.

The staff are imformal and very friendly but avoid the full breakfast, unless you happen to like scrambled eggs with herbs and chewey sausages. this may be explained by the fact that the restuarant is actually the Indian restaurant next door.

the are around the hotel leaves a lot to be desired, luckily the bar is good and very resonably priced.

You can eat in the bar in the evening, but the choice is limited. Other that that, if you like Indian food then the Bombay Blues Indian restaurant is attached to the hotel.

One tip for people who like a good breakfast. Try the Barrhead Travel agency just down the road! It has an attached cafe which does an excellent full scottish with tea for £4.50. their filled rolls are very fresh and cheap too!

Room Tip: Choose one at the front of the hotel, not so noisy!

The hotel is clean and comfortable. However, the rooms are very small. There is the late bar in the downstairs area. Whilst the hotel was quiet there was considerable noise throughout the night from the main road outside. This doesn't usually bother me but seemed particularly noisy at this hotel. Prices are good and the hotel is simply across the road from Glasgow Central Station so brilliant location. I wouldn't want to stay in the hotel for any more than one night though. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

Stayed here in one night before flying from Glasgow airport the next day. When we checked in we thought the reception looked lovely, all decked out with fairy lights and the first impression was good, location was nice and central too.
We were given a room on the first floor which backed onto the lift which you could hear whirring into action and was also right at the front of the hotel facing out to the main street and the taxi rank below. The room was also incredibly hot with the heating on full blast which made the small room stifling.
I had e-mailed the hotel prior to our arrival and requested a room at the back of the hotel as I'm quite a light sleeper and I knew there was no hope of me getting a wink of sleep in a stuffy noisy room such as this, but the e-mail I sent must have been missed.
I went back down to reception and asked if another room was available would it be possible to change. The receptionist was a little huffy and rolled her eyes at my request and after a bit of tapping at the keyboard gave me the key to another room.
This one was much cooler and also bigger. It looked out over some rubbish bins at the back of the hotel so was quiet.
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I think I've ever slept on, you could feel every spring in the mattress and it creaked and groaned every time you moved.
But the room was cool and quiet so at least sleep was possible.
Location is very convenient for shopping and getting the shuttle bus to the airport but then lots of other hotels in the area also meet this criteria.
I wouldn't stay here again in a hurry.
