“Very nicely refurbished”
Reviewed 26 May 2012

We stayed here two years ago when travelling to the Highlands and had a comfortable night's sleep plus excellent food and friendly service from all staff. This time we found a newly refurbished hotel which is even better (superb wall mounted big screen TV included).

Room Tip: Rooms at the front may suffer from Motorway noise but we have only had rooms at the rear which are e...

Normally we stay at B & B's and we were pleasantly surprised when we stayed here. Very comfortable bed with a choice of pillows. Lovely bathroom although the step over into the bath to take a shower may be a bit high for some. They only offer free wifi for half an hour which is a little mean as most B & B's have no time restriction. Also the loud music in the restaurant was a turn off and the choice of "healthy" meals on the menu was poor. If they can turn off the loud music in the restaurant and offer some healthy menu choices as well as more generosity with wifi they may have a winner on their hands. Oh, and Claire in the restaurant is a delight and knows her customer service.

Stay here at least once a month for at least two night, staff very helpfull and friendly and always put themselfs out to help if they can.
The rooms are very clean and tidy and now the windows have been replaced the traffic noise is no longer a problem.
I stop in many premier inns throught the country and this is the best I stay at.

As a family we have been regularly users of this Premier Inn due to the fact the rooms they provided were excellent for family use giving space and comfort and a excellent afforable price. Not so now with the refurbishment. The new layout of the rooms with the expanded wardrobe space and centring of table has reduced the functional space for a family unit of 4. Beds are now all crammed in a row giving no space to get in and out properly, with 3 individuals having to climb over beds to get in.

So much for the comfort and space that they advertise on TV and elsewhere.

It seems as though PI dont want families (or small groups) to stay any more..

We're fast becoming regulars here- and it's getting better each time!

This visit, we had a room on the second floor which had recentlt been re-decorated and fitted out. A lovely job- the TV on the wall and an 'open plan wardrobe to give more room.

And the bed was still as comfy as ever.

Well done people!! x

Room Tip: I can recommend the 2nd floor. the best thing, though, is that the whole hotel is now smoke free-so...

Stayed at Premier Inn Birmingham a few weeks ago. Was so impressed we stayed at Premier Inn Glasgow East and was not disappointed. Had a problem on initial arrival with room.
This was dealt with very professionally by staff and an alternative room was immediately sourced.
Room was very comfortable, staff were excellent.
Menu was very varied offering an excellent selection catering for all tastes. I can't offer enough praise for the food as it was absolutely fantastic. We are very fussy eaters particularly with steak. Both our meals were cooked to perfection with excellent quality food.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main road had a little noise during the night. Whilst this did not bother us it may be...
