“a bit warm”
Reviewed 17 August 2012

stayed at the Premier Inn Glasgow on a business trip, the hotel and connecting restaurant are very good and cheap to boot, but the room was far too warm and as this hotel is situated next to the motorway, no option to open the window. they do supply a fan, but it's a little small and noisy. plus there is nothing for miles and as I was travelling by plane and taxi it is a little remote

This is the fourth time I have stayed here, as work takes me to this are a lot and it is a really conveniently placed hotel for all of this area of South West Scotland being really handy for the M73,M8 and M74, the welcome is good, the Beefeater next door is fine, but the whole thing is let down by the fact that out of 4 stays, we have had to vacate rooms for up to an hour as the alarms keep going off. Each time we have had to wait for Strathclyde's finest to check out the whole hotel only to be told it was a false alarm.....again! This has happened at 6pm 3 am and 4 am not a lot of fun. I use Premier Inns all over the UK and none of the others suffer this problem.

Great little place the room was fresh and clean, the food was good value, the staff are great and I would stay again
We stayed there as a stop over on the way to the scottish Highlands. We drove up from London and was all very sleepy, the fact the staff were welcoming and advised us that we could get a drink in the bar and where to go for breakfast was great.

Stayed in various hotels throughout Glasgow/Scotland. The check-in process at the hotel (we checked in with a group) was not good. Very slow and allot of hanging about. Was told we would be allocated twin rooms, got to room and double bed (it's as well I was sharing with my brother!). The restaurant was large and seemed busy with locals. On my next trip to Glasgow I won't be returning to the PI Glasgow East.

We stayed here for a four night break and as usual with the Premier Inn service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff. The room was spotlessly clean and had recently been refurbished. My Daughter and her Mum were particularly impressed with the large wall mounted flat screen TV that received all the terrestrial high definition channels! We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the food and service was excellent. Breakfast also very good and the waitress Laura was very friendly and efficient despite her appearing to be the only one serving. It does appear to be a busier hotel than some of the other Premier Inn's we have stayed at, particularly for business travelers and tradesmen who are working in the area so there is lots of comings and goings but that said it never caused us any issues. My only slight niggle is that you can hear people walking about the rooms above you and whilst that was not a problem for us and it was quiet during sleep hours it did prompt a complaint from the guy below us on our first evening. However it was dealt with sensitively by the Receptionist.

We stayed here on the way down to our holiday for 1 night. We chose here due to just being off the M74 and have stayed in several Premier Inn's with no problems. Room was perfect, on the ground floor facing the road, but was not noisy at all, was actually quite surprised. Big flat screen tele on the wall, plenty space for a family, couldn't fault it at all! Had 30 mins free wi-fi which worked no probs. We had breakfast in the morning, staff were lovely, plenty to chose from and quick service. Would definitely stay here again.
