Reviewed 29 July 2013

Just back from a weekend with girlfriends in Glasgow Lofts. They're not so much lofts, more converted 1960's office space. I don't know how long its been since their conversion and I dare say they were pretty impressive when first done (and that may be when the pics were taken) but they're pretty tired and in need of attention now. On the plus side they're spacious and the bathrooms are pretty good but the flat we had was crying out for maintenance work and a deep clean. So amny things were either missing or broken - light bulbs, shower fittings, crockery etc. They're not great if you're a light sleeper either, as everytime someone turns on a tap or flushes the loo, an incredibily noisey water pump kicks in. Also, a lot of noisy from the grim tenement block and budget accommodation at the back of the block and scavaging sea birds that arrived about 4.00am.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor, rooms higher up may be a bit quieter and must have better views than we...

Have stayed in this location for 3 nights in an apartment with two bedrooms and a living. The apartament is very spacious, with large windows but the view is not spectacular at the 5th floor, in the front side of the building. The washing machine and the dishwasher were very dirty, with food leftovers inside. The location is a little bit loud, I recommend an upper floor to avoid the noise. We paid 5£/day for wi-fi and 8£/day for parking spot, but I recommend to book in advance. The parking entrance is near the main entrance of the building, but you can easily miss it. The towels and the sheets were clean. The place seemed to be once a great place, but now is a bit outdated.

Room Tip: Upper floor

I stayed here with my bridesmaids for my hen weekend and it was great. The apartment was very clean and so spacious. The bathroom was amazing, we had two bathrooms and one had a very big bath. Staff at front desk were very friendly. Only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the apartment. It was so hot we kept the from door open. View from our rooms were not great either but that didn't matter to us.

Our bathroom was not clean, really not happy about this.
Everything looked as if it was passed its sell by date. Everything was very tired looking. The view was horrendous, I loved looking out into a wall. I will never be back for £89 per night, Thought we would try it. Next time ill opt for Citizen M or Fraser Suites.

I stayed here with my sister and mother for a girl's weekend in Glasgow. We were given two double beds and not a double and twin. Many of the lights were out throughout the whole flat and with no natural light in the bathrooms, had to shower practically in the dark. The noise outside was loud until 3.30am then someone started cleaning the room upstairs at 6.30am with a scraping bucket and mop and Tesco over the road started loading and unloading lorries from about 6.30 till we left. The TV in the living room did not work at all and nor did the grill to make toast in the morning. We did bring all of this up with reception (who was a really nice guy) but there was nothing he could do. Spend your money on a proper hotel if you intend to stay there to sleep, shower, eat and rest! My partner went camping that weekend and got more rest than we did!

We had a one night stay for a conncert. It was a lovely place to stay, big airy rooms that were great value for money. It was just what we needed, a bed for night - no airs & graces!
Although it is lovely, it is starting to show signs of wear & tear. A few holes here & there, cracks & chips. It just needs some TLC & it will be grand!
It was VERY difficult to find, badly sign posted!!!!

Just returned from a nights stay at the Glasgow Loft Apartments. We were there to watch Robbie and hotels were pricey so this was a bit of a flyer. I have never stated in a city apartment as an alternative to a hotel but this has opened my eyes. The space was amazing we had a two bedrooms both with ensuite and it was a lovely relaxed way to stay. Would recommend and would personally use again! Great find. The staff were very helpful too.
