I have been visiting this bar for many years - including whilst serving my apprenticeship and slightly underage, and to be honest it has not visually changed a lot - however they are always ready for a challenge and can adapt quickly when the need arises. Usual pub menu with food available well in to the later part of the evening most nights, and always a great selection of guest beers along with the more commercial ones. Being where it is, it attracts a lot of passing trade, university students/staff, tourists and of course it has its own locals. There are staff who have been there for years and then there are staff that change depending on things like, how university is going, again like the pub they adapt and are very good at dealing with most things. This pub is great for watching TV, generally sport - as it has around 8/9 TV screens - but it can get exceptionally busy at weekends and some evenings. There is also a small side lounge for a bit of an overspill, and many years ago there was The Safari Lounge downstairs - don't think its still in use :(

Anyway its in the West End and for its location its reasonably priced, worthwhile visiting if you are in the area, I was in this week and had some food, no hassle and enjoyable.
