Have visited this little pub quite a few times now on trips to Glasgow Each time have found the prices to be very good the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere great 1 On last visit there was Karaoke and the place was buzzing Singers of all ages and abilities each giving it an amazing performance and sometimes joined by members of staff to add their own tunes Love this little pub - a definite first choice for comfort warmth value and a good sing song Not for those interested in cocktails and mirrors

I had a bus to catch in Buchanan Street station, and had 30 minutes to kill, so decided to find a bar locally, and have a drink. As I walked past this place, I looked in the window, but wasn't drawn to it, so looked for another place, However, I couldn't find a suitable bar, so had to go against my better judgement and return to Intermezzo. Mistake.

It reminds me of a bar in Derry, Northern Ireland, called the Anchor Bar, but without the charm. As soon as I entered, I didn't feel welcome, but not unwelcome either. I would have left, but because of my bus, I stayed. There were two ladies behind the bar, who would be better suited working in a bingo hall, as they didn't have a clue. When I asked for pint of water, with a pint of lager, the two of them sneered at me, before producing the water, with no ice, with the lager. I'm sure they are lovely ladies, but when your in the hospitality business, you don't make customers uncomfortable. Why they needed two of them in such a small bar is beyond me. I'd imagine they don't get many passers-by calling in. Avoid.
