This place used to be excellent, but now it's full of drunken teenagers with ridiculous haircuts. It's also absurdly over-priced. Rubbish beers served by rude idiots. One of the worst pubs in town - if you're there for a gig, get out as soon as it's finished and head to the Variety, the Halt, the Griffin or the State.

This is not a good pub.

The drinks on offer are average and so are the prices and the food is actually ok given that it is provided by Where The Monkey Sleeps.

However the bar staff are the rudest, unfriendliest and most hostile bunch I've came across in quite a while. Having visited recently with a large group of co-workers the staff went out of their way to be unpleasant from the get go - for no apparent reason.

Usually I would expect polite custom to be met with polite response but the opposite is true - multiple members of the group I was with were ignored, or deliberately not served at and in one case a bunnet-wearing member of staff tried to provoke a fight between two customers. As if Glasgow doesn't have enough violence as it is.

I notice a previous reviewer has commented that they don't seem to like large groups - possibly this was the same thing but it seems an odd way to run a business.

Avoid like the plague.

I've been visiting Sleazys for years now and it's definitely the coolest joint in town. Good drinking, better music. Good times.

Load of mates, 12 of us, average age 58 goes in to bar (about ten customers there) only to be told (by barmaid) that it is their policy not to serve large groups over 5! Jings did we look like we were gonna cause trouble, 2 policemen, 5 armed forces, 5 pensioners! Motley crew not!

Now spreading the word to stay away if you are in any "big group"!
