Great place full of atmosphere'
We stopped at Alamo Guest House on our trip through Scotland, unfortunately just for one night. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Found a very good quality Italian restaurant close by. The location is really convenient. We'll stop there again next time. "

Never had a better and more friendly stay.I am still amazed and thankfull. Great job at the Alamo, Emma, Stephen and staff. Just a step to Sauchiehall with wonderful restaurants, Kelvingrove Gallery and Park. Absolutely loved it.

Staying at the Alamo is a thoroughly enjoyable experience: a comfortable room, a tasty breakfast (with additional options available on request), welcoming, cheerful and helpful hosts and other staff. Good, and remarkably cheap, restaurants are only a few minutes walk away, as are bus-stops for local buses and the good-value sightseeing tour bus. Should we return to Glasgow we shall certainly stay at the Alamo.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 3 which is on the 'lower ground floor' and accessed via a rather narrow wi...

There is something about a place when you arrive and the owner gives you a hand, laughs with you at the weather and makes you instantaneously feel welcome. For down to earth people that enjoy a good atmosphere :)

Stayer in a twin bed room, took a peak at their master suite, which i will take next time i come back here.

This is by far one of my favourite places I've stayed while traveling. It is situated on a quiet street next to a very nice little park, and just at the corner on the street perpendicular is located a good number of restaurants, among which is a fabulous Indian resto!

This guest home is family-run and the Steve, who welcomed us in, was very friendly and helpful! We were leaving very early in the morning, and he packed us a nice breakfast to take with and have at the airport. I really appreciated this kind gest, as we had to hop in the taxi at 5 a.m.! Steve was very accessible during are stay to answer our questions and to give us tips on where to dine and what to see.

This establishment is run by a very charming man, who has decorated his guest house very tastefully and very quaint and cozy! I just loved it! I loved the decor of the home itself, a Victorian style home, very antique and stylish... I got the real feel of really being in a Scottish home. The continental breakfast was very copious with a lot of choices, and I especially loved the breakfast room itself, which had lovely huge windows and a nice view of the street.

The university is a close walk, and you can get the city tour bus right down the street! Very nice location and I would highly recommend this place for people coming to visit Glasgow. I would definitely stay here again!
