“Malone's Irish bar: (not to be confused with the molly version)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 June 2014

Went there this week for a birthday treat for me, our first time at Malone's Irish bar & wont be the last. The best pint of Guinness in a long while, smooth & creamy and kept its head.
Started with a bowl of home-made lentil soup, wow, that was impressive, rich and creamy just the way I like it.
Then on to a Jamison's BBQ burger & fries, Cajun chicken, bacon, cheese & Jamison's BBQ sauce.
The wife settled for Malone's classic chicken, ( chicken breast with all the trimmings.)
Never had space to sample dessert but will leave that for another time.

Well worth a visit.

“Can't wait to go back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014 via mobile

Myself & three friends visited Malones during our weekend in Glasgow for a meal and it was delicious. The entertainment was great and service was top class. I would recommend anyone to visit Malones, the atmosphere alone is enough to make me want to return!

“PUB GRUB”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

I'd heard through the grapevine this new bar was great, traditional pub grup, drinks promos, live entertainment and a friendly atmosphere so was very much looking forward to our visit. on arrival the place definitely looked the part, however, the staff were not friendly in fact were quite miserable, nobody acknowledged us let alone greeted us.

we sat at a corner table where we were ignored for about 10-15 mins or so despite the place being quite quiet. I felt as if I was interrupting the bar and kitchen staff sitting chatting about who was drunk the night before. i ordered drinks and took them to our table. I had to approach the bar staff and ask for menus and after being ignored again we ordered food at the bar. After placing our order the "chef" who had multiple facial pearcings and grubby looking whites left stood outside and smoked a cigarette before going upstairs to cook our meal presumably ( not exactly hygenic) our food came down after no time at all and def looked the part, however, had to be sent back as our soup was cold and our fries were burnt to a cinder and our burger was rare in the middle.

we weren't expecting gourmet but decent pub grub, however, there was no apology or attempt to rectify the situation and the bar staff really didn't seem to care less. i was really disappointed as had heard some good things but were left with a bad taste in our mouths.
