I spent a three week holiday in Scotland, basing myself out of Glasgow. I chose Glasgow as it's a bit less touristy than Edinburgh, which is an easy train ride away (less than an hour, and frequent trains). Glasgow was also central to most of the places I wanted to visit. (Having friends there was a bonus!)
SACO was in the perfect location, just across from George Square. Glasgow-Queen Street Station is just a short walk away. Close access to bus stops for Hop On-Hop Off tour buses and airport shuttles. It's also just above a wonderful cafe, Wee Guy's. Plenty of other restaurants in nearby walking distance as well. Great shopping just a couple of blocks away on Buchanan.
SACO fit my needs perfectly. The one bedroom flat was cozy enough to feel like home, with its separate living room and kitchen. A much better experience than a hotel. Christine, the manager, did a great job of making me feel welcome and addressing any issues I came across. Had I to do it over again, though, I may have requested a higher floor.
