“A great place to stay for a group of friends!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 December 2013

We had 2 apartments at the beginning of December for a one night stay - 32 & 34 .
The location was great just a 5 minute walk round the corner from the train station which is very central to the city centre.
The receptionists were both very friendly and we were able to leave our bags with them on checkout day until our train was due.
The apartments were spotless and also very spacious and had in them everything you would need even down to oven gloves (though 32 smelt slightly of smoke when you first went in). They both faced the car park and the road was busy outside but the noise was acceptable for a city centre location.
Value for money was excellent booking through booking.com - would definitely stay again!

Stayed overnight which was £150 not to bad ! But then we get in and one of thr men that work there were absolutely horrific shouting and swearing at a 17 year old girl for making to much noise? Also didn't recieve my deposit back which took the price to 250. For a rubbish appartment no guests no smoking no noise ? And the staff are horrific would not recomend it to any one !!!!!!!! Matters will be taken futher dont worry

We stay in Glasgow every week and thought we would try an apartment instead of a hotel. Great idea. These apartments are very central. Our one was very clean. However, we were on the ground floor opposite Oswald St car park. It was very, very noisy. The curtains didn't block out the light. The TV didn't work and nor did the Wifi. We didn't sleep. It was a great idea, but we won't repeat the experiment

Room Tip: Book the Grand Central hotel!

have stayed here before and enjoy the freedom and space of an appt.compared to a hotel room.
Location is very central but there was no noise and we had an excellent sleep.
All facilities were clean with nothing broken.
Very helpful & pleasant receptionist who let us leave our case until room was ready.
Checkout is 10am which was a bit early as we had been to a concert the night before so we were happy to pay £10 to extend it for an hour.as we had got a great overnight deal on Booking.com which was good value for money.
We had no issues with hot water as mentioned in previous reviews, the bed was two singles zipped together but this didn't bother us either.
Would stay again and recommend to others.

The location is good, very central and the station and center of the city is in walking distance. The living area with kitchen and basic equipment was spacious and it had a washing machine, which was very useful, Drying the clothes was a bit of a problem as there was nothing to hang the clothes. Ironboard and iron were available, also a hair dryer. The bedrooms are comfortable, the beds small, though one had no cupboard at all and the only flaw was no where to hang coats or towels. We stayed a week and it was far easier as a family than 2 hotel rooms. We cooked sometimes and did not have to go out all the time. The place was clean and we got good room service despite the fact that towels and bedsheets were supposed to be changed only after a week. The wifi worked well and the manager Mr. Shamil Latiff at the reception was very friendly and helpful with directions, tips and other requests we had. I had forgotten to prebook a parking space but lucky enough I got one within 2 hours.

Room Tip: If you are sensitive to noise try to get one apartment not facing Oswaldstreet but the back. The par...

The location of these apartments are great, very central and just around the corner from the Arches if you are intending on going to any gigs.

However, value for money wise, you are definitely better off in a hotel. Although the apartment was fairly modern, it was still fairly basic. The bed (twins pushed together) was absolutely awful. The bedding was something you'd expect from a cheap hotel too. You can also hear everything going on outside - not great when there is no aircon and the apartment is stiffling - meaning windows had to be left open.

You are limited to having 2 guests visit the apartment who must sign in when they arrive. Failure to do so apparently incurs a fine. There is a list of rules and regulations as you go in... You also have to check-out before 10am which I personally find ridiculous.

Overall, bad value for money. There is definitely better elsewhere in Glasgow.
