“Good & bad.”

Had a cheap Sunday overnight. We had to be moved from Room No 1 as the toilet would not flush, also the tv was not working. We were moved to room No 2 which was at best adequate. However both evening meal & breakfast were very good & the service of all staff was excellent.
A major rennovation is called for but with the numbers staying it would be hard to justify.
Well done all the stafff including the chef for ensuring we enjoyed our night regardless of the problem with rooms.

The staff and their service was the only thing stopping me complaining! Sounds abit harsh maybe! Friendly and helpful and therefore full credit should be given to them.

Breakfast was nice although I was somewhat hungover to fully appriciate.

The rooms and bar area are I need of some desperate refurbishment and tidying up! It was clean in the room though. And the shower was like.a power shower of excellent proportions.

All in all not bad for £70! Had worst for more

After being at this hotel for a function that passed off without any problem it was a funeral so wasn't meant to be a happy occasion anyway, but that didn't mean the waitress had to be miserable and cheeky to us. I think she had a problem for some reason it could be because she resembled Bart Simpsons mother "Marge" which did put a smile on our faces when she was clearing the table she picked up my pint glass which still had at least two mouthfuls of beer in it in fairness to Marge I think she may have thought it was finished as my wife had just bought me a new pint but when she lifted the glass I told her it wasn't finished and she more or less slammed it back down on the table gave me a look that would have sunk a thousand ships and then she walked off after that I just felt she had a bad attitude everytime I went to the bar other than that there were also young men working on the bar that done there job as expected I actually felt when I was going to the bar Marge done everything she could to avoid serving me.

I stayed here on the 23rd of October 2012, it was my 1st visit to this hotel & at less than half the price of the cheapest in central glasgow. I arrived late & went to bed, next to no noise in the room & the bath/shower was excellent in the morning, did not eat breakfast or have drink in the bar. Close to Williamwood Rail Station too.

Stayed here after a function. Hotel could do with a lick of paint, but it was clean and functional. Room had new tv, kettle, good shower & comfortable bed.

Breakfast was first class - full Scottish, & Continental on the side also.

Staff are excellent and are what really make this hotel.

No hesitation staying here again.

Room Tip: Although it's only over 2 floors - I don't think the hotel has a lift - so check with the ho...

stopped over at the redhurst on the way back from holiday.the service was as usual excellent the staff are very friendly, the food excellent, accomodation was very comfortable.some of the reviews state the decor is a bit dated but this makes the hotel more homely.i would prefer to stay here than in some of the more modern plastic hotels.i have stayed in many hotels in the past and the redhurst comes out tops every time.thanks for a very pleasant end to our holiday.as a shwarzeneger would say "i'll be back"

You can forgive a lot of shortfalls when the service you receive from staff is friendly, flexible and always done with a smile and that would be my review of the Redhurst Hotel.

From the reception staff to those that served in the bar and bistro area, the service received was really warm and welcoming. It was really refreshing and all requests I made where responded to quickly and helpfully.

Now on to the bad bits... the room itself was fine, it was very clean and comfortable but could do with some real updating. The bedroom area was ok (the carpet looked new compared to the one in my dads room) but the bathroom looked like it had not been touched for about 20 years. There was loose grout, a cracked toilet seat and the decor very outdated, it was however clean throughout. The shower pressure was brutal (way too strong that it almost hurt!) and it leaked.

The evening meal was really nice, breakfast was ok if a bit slow as there was only one member of staff serving and cooking hot breakfasts. All done with a smile but not great if you were in a rush.

For a one night stay, the Redhurst was fine and I would stay again if ever in the area. It does need a bit more TLC but the staff more than make up for it.
