...premier inn at BBC is brand new and the staff are excellent, very helpful and pleasant. Our room overlooked the River Clyde, Hydro, SSEC and Bells Bridge, the whole area is beautifully lit at night time.. brilliant setting and thoroughly enjoyable (one night) stay..we'll be back...

Room Tip: ..ask for river view..

we stayed here when it was brand new as a family - great location about 25 minutes into town (3 year old pace), good rooms, good breakfast and dinner was as expected. staff v helpful - husband needed medical assistance during stay and they were great
only marked down for value due to inevitable price hike for games.
would stay here again for sure

Room Tip: ask for a room over river

All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. Other reviewers recommended asking for a river side room, which I did. Had a great view of the Commonwealth Games venues across the river.
Weather was great too, but I'm not sure the staff can take the credit for that.

I know it was a new Inn and it should be good, and it was, but what made t for me was the staff. Nothing was to much trouble. The location is in a very good area with easy access to the city and to other amenities.

Spent a night in this premier inn before going on a city break to Europe. From the check in to our early departure everything was perfect. Its position beside the BBC building and a small bridge over the river was lovely. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was spotless. We left too early for breakfast so can't comment on the quality of the food. Would definitely use this premier inn again.

We recently stayed having been allocated to this hotel from another as they had over booked.....and thank you very much for doing so,
The hotel is new the rooms, the staff, the restaurant, every thing about the hotel was excellent.
The rooms are great, big bed, very comfy, good shower, and massive tv.
The food in the restaurant was well priced and well cooked, the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, we sat having dinner on 2 nights at the window overlooking the river....fantastic view, and we had great nights sleep both evenings.
Great hotel, great city, we will be returning, and would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Room overlooking river if you can.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2014 - checked in after a long drive. I had tried to work out how to request two rooms together, but hadn't been able to, however once we were there they happily gave us two rooms together overlooking the river. Check in was easy, and the information provided by Sam and Sam on reception was excellent. The hotel carpark seems very safe, although you don't need to register your cars to park there, there is a buzz out system in operation.
The rooms were very clean, and looked amazing. Two small negatives were the day bed at the end of the room - it was great for dumping my suitcase on but I didn't find it comfy to sit on at all - and the small, mysterious holes in the bed sheets and pillow cases.... very strange but as they were not dirty holes I left it until I checked out.
I'm not terribly short but I found getting in and out of the bathtub to use the shower a real effort. I wonder if the hotel would be able to provide a step?!
The hotel is a good 40-45 minutes walk from the town centre (we were very lucky weather wise but in the wet it would have been horrid). There is a taxi rank around the corner, and a stop for the "hopper bus" service - costs £12 for a day ticket, ask at reception to get a £1 discount voucher, and the second day is cheaper if you hold onto your ticket. The hopper service is a commerical tour bus, which is interesting the first time round... and takes a while to get into the city centre.
Didn't use the restaurant but did have a drink in the bar - very easy atmosphere and hotel prices. Within (easy) walking distance there are a number of restaurants, so you're not restricted.
As I slept with earplugs in, I didn't notice any noise at night but the aircon wasn't quiet. There is a building site across the road from the hotel, but as we were the other side it didn't bother us.
I was a bit annoyed the morning we were checking out (check out time 12 noon) to have housekeeping knock at 9:30 to try to clean the room. Surely in this day of modern technology the hotel would have a system to work out which rooms are still occupied?

Room Tip: The view from the river side rooms is lovely.
